The greatest reason I would not come back to Punta Cana is...
The greatest reason I would not come back to Punta Cana is beyond the Resort, and with this comment I want to leave clear that I understand that the property can not do anything directly about it. However i want to warn every traveler, specially those families traveling with kids. The AIRPORT and PRIVATE TRANSPORTATION schemes could become your greatest nightmare. Excessive lines of 1 to 3 hours long at the airport, very disorganized , poorly managed, grouping families with children in separate lines that would growth constantly in relation to the processing capacity of those Customs officer while passengers without children would go through different lines that would move fasters. it felt like discriminations for traveling with minors. In addition to our experience, the AC was shut down and the heat unbearable, Children crying and travelers upset . . I think that scene offered a glimpse into what Concentration Camps were like. On the other hand, watch out for transportation schemes. In DR overall, you can't even rely on Uber drivers who are very used to ask passenger to cancel the ride and charge for more cash to get you to the location. You might just give up to it after seeing that become repetitive and common. For this trip arrival, I had a transportation booked and paid through Booking.com and yet, after we were picked up at the airport, on our way to the hotel, we were requested to pay extra cash to complete the ride or else they would take us back to the airport. at our refusal and after a lot of arguing and heat up conversation over the phone with management, we were drop off at a gas station on the road. Of course this was already reported to Booking but Watch out for the name of that transportation agency " Impulse destination group". Stay away from them.Guest review byMarvelUnited States - 10.0
Great restaurants! Friendly and welcoming people!
Great restaurants! Friendly and welcoming people! Stood in line to experience food at La casita Blanca restaurant. It was worth the 20 minute wait. Goes fast to be seated. Great beaches. Drove to el Yunque get there before 9am. Beautiful waterfalls, swimming and hiking. La Lechonera original in Guavate offers delicious fresh food at reasonable prices if you enjoy pig roast, ribs, tamale and plantains. Visited Culebra get tickets online via Puerto Rico ferry. If sold out online, limited tickets are available in person same day if you get there before 8am. Ceiba Ferry Boarding process is very organized and efficient. They start boarding an hour prior and shut gate 10 minutes prior to departure time. Enjoy beautiful Puerto Rico!Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Historic buildings, a multitude of restaurants and terraces, museums, what more do you want? Also nice Malecon for an evening walk. If you don't drive it's easy (and cheap) to get around with Uber.Guest review byOTammyRomania - 8.0

Montego Bay was absolutely breathtaking — the views were stunning, the people were friendly, and the overall atmosphere was full of good vibes. Unfortunately, the hotel I stayed in was in poor condition and really should be closed until proper repairs and renovations are completed.Guest review byMrs. BrownUnited States - 8.0

I like the Mountains behind the Bay...I love to see those mountains..There is a Jesus Statue donated by Rio to Puerto Plata, a miniature reproduction..The market is fun..not much into beaches..Great Ice Cream on the Central Plaza next to the Church..The Church Steeple is a great reference point when lost.A nice bus ride of 2.5 hours from Santo Domingo..Came by Carib Tours...walked up to the place on day one from the Bus station..a 10 minute walk up the hill.Guest review byAndre O EwertCanada - 8.0
It is a beautiful town, gorgeous beaches.
It is a beautiful town, gorgeous beaches. Prices are average for the Caribbean. Public transport is not reliable, therefore, renting a car is the best option to go to the beaches and to move around. Locals seem to be a little tired of dealing with tourist though.Guest review byErikaTrinidad and Tobago - 10.0
It’s one of the most beautiful beaches I have seen.
It’s one of the most beautiful beaches I have seen. The water is sparkling clean, the azure color is breathtaking, it not too busy , it is spacious snd relaxing. There are so many restaurants within walking distance. The super market is 2 minutes away. Palm beach just a few minutes by car or by scooters . Water sports are available everywhere. There is so much to go no matter what your age,Guest review byMonikaUnited States - 10.0
It's a quaint little town.
It's a quaint little town. All the restaurants are Italian or pizzerias. They were fair to good. The stores are interesting. It is a small village. We enjoyed exploring it, but there's not a huge amount there besides the souvenir shops, a few clothing stores, a few bars, a few coffee shops, and a few restaurants.Guest review byMitchellUnited States - 10.0
Las Terrenas is a lovely northern town on the Samana...
Las Terrenas is a lovely northern town on the Samana peninsula. If you want a chilled out vibe, full of locals and nice easy access to different beaches then this is your place. I went as a solo female traveller and found it very good, generally safe, did not feel threatened which is important when you're alone. Plenty of places to eat, but I would do your research first. The food was good, but often the service at restaurants was not so good. Cheap prices. Margarita Bar - inexpensive, amazing quesadillas Gelateria Italiana Artesanal - cute ice cream parlour El Loro - great beach snacks Ristorante Pizzeria Nonna Teresa - a fab family run italian with fresh pasta El Lugar - full options and good tapas style food Boulangerie Francaise - a cute bakery Empanadas y Más - didn't try, but known to have the best empanadas Pizza Coco - go-to amazing cheap delicious pizza Super Mercado Lindo - closest large supermarket if you want options 20-30 min walk or you can get a taxi/bike. Easiest ways to get around if you don't want to rent a drive is the men that drive the scooters, they all wear yellow high vis jackets so that you know they are safe, you pay them anywhere between $200-500 pesos equivalent to $3 for a short ride from A>B. But the dune buggies and quad bikes are popular for tourists to use. I highly recommend getting to see Limon Waterfalls, and I did a day trip to visit 4 secluded beaches. Waterfall tours by Flora Tours. Beaches tours by OBISPO ATM - very good value! Out of the beaches tried, Playa Las Ballenas was the calmest, but nice waters and quieter vibe to Punta Popy. Overall joyous experience for a solo traveller, I stayed at TAKUMA Hotel.Guest review byLoisUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Restaurants in Kingston (or probably whole Jamaika) took very long to make food, even fast food. Stood in line for long times usually. But other than that there were no problems. Nice supermarket nearbyGuest review byTina
