We stayed in a room in the "motel" style section, so it definitely feels like a motel rather than a hotel. But I appreciated that the room was clean and recently renovated. I also appreciated the free parking and the self-serve laundry in the basement. Also, we really liked the free tea, coffee, and cookies in the main lobby (and the tiny garden area for sitting). This was our last hotel/motel from a month long trip in NW USA, and it had everything that we expected from a motel room for 2 persons: a fully equipped kitchenette, a living room, kitchen table, a separate bedroom with second TV, and an en suite bathroom. It is close to supermarkets and pharmacies and several restaurants on NW 23rd, and is an easy walk to downtown. Also close to Washington Park and the trails past the Japanese and rose gardens.
