The Cathedral and San Miguel Chapel are a must. The interior of the Cathedral is a fine example of Spanish Mission style with native decorative color patterns and art. The adobe buildings of the Plaza give a wonderful Southwest old-town feel. The art shops are numerous. One cannot leave without purchasing a personal item made from local turquoise. Two "MUSTS" for Santa Fe PLAZA, both there for many years: 1. Go to the "Five & Dime" for terrific variety of gifts, snacks, T-shirts, drugstore stuff, hotdogs, etc. at very reasonable prices. 2. It’s a motel type setup operated by the famous La Fonda hotel in Santa Fe. The property is in a great location to walk to the Plaza and environs and a block away from Cerillos road, a main road in Santa Fe so super convenient.
