About Pathways
No company, big or small, should stand alone in the fight against online child sexual abuse. Pathways is a free program designed to help tech companies — especially startups and small-to-medium-sized platforms — build or improve their child safety programs.
Whether or not your company intends to apply for membership in the future, Pathways gives your team access to expert guidance, practical tools, and opportunities to connect with others tackling online child sexual exploitation and abuse (OCSEA).
Who Pathways is for
Pathways is open to employees of tech companies that host or provide access to user-generated content or communications.
The program is not open to vendors or service providers that do not manage user content.
There is no cost to join. Instead, participants invest their time and commitment to using the resources provided.
What Pathways offers
Participants in Pathways receive access to a growing hub of resources, consultations, and learning opportunities, including:

Tailored consultations to address each company’s unique challenges and opportunities.
Practical tools and resources:
A curated library of resources designed to be immediately useful, developed with and by industry experts. Topics include:
- Starting an online child safety program
- Drafting child safety content policies
- Understanding key global regulatory requirements
- Leveraging hashing and matching
technologies for CSAM detection - Reporting OCSEA to the National Center of
Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) - Combating new harms like financial sextortion
- Good practices for developers
Knowledge sharing:
Connect with a network of professionals dedicated to advancing child safety, including online “fireside chats” and “ask an expert” discussions with Tech Coalition members.
