Abstract

The medical cart is the only product of its kind that features an intake/disposal hose which connects to a waste and hot/cold water tanks for optimal utilization. The medical cart is uniquely designed to be manufactured with optional stainless steel or heavy plastic materials for maximum durability and is intended to be available with adjustable joints to lower and raise the cart as desired and a novel brace which effectively secures the position of the implement to meet any consumer preference.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001 ] The present PCT patent application claims priority benefit of the U.S. Utility Patent Application No.15/622,208 filed on June 14, 2017 and entitled "NURSE'S AID MEDICAL CART" under 35 USC 1 1 1 (a). The contents of this related Utility application are incorporated herein by reference for all purposes to the extent that such subject matter is not inconsistent herewith or limiting hereof.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION:

[0002] The present invention is a medical device. More specifically, the present invention is a medical cart.

DESCRIPTION OF THE RELATED ART:

[0003] There are currently no feasible products on the market that are capable of allowing attendants to bathe their patients without making several trips to the restroom. Individuals who do not have the physical ability to bathe themselves and/or are primarily confined to a bed typically hire home health aides which utilize basins to wash and collect their liquid waste; however this process can be tedious as it often requires caregivers to make frequent trips to the bathroom in order to change the dirty water.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0004] The present invention is an innovative alternative to conventional methods of bathing bedridden patients. [0005] The medical cart includes a cart with a handle, a sink, a front wide clip-on basket, a drain, hoses to fill or rinse the sink, tanks, a pump, a spray nozzle, a wheel lock for stability, adjustable joints for easy fold-up, and a brace to support the cart when open.

[0006] It is an object of the present invention to provide consumers with a portable sink on a cart that holds water via removal water tanks and dispenses it through the connected hose where users can effectively perform hygienic tasks such as bathing, washing hair, and brushing teeth.

[0007] It is an object of the present invention to provide a portable system that affords drainage of dirty water to go through the waste tank located at the bottom.

[0008] It is an object of the present invention to provide a medical cart that is manufactured with optional stainless steel or heavy plastic materials for maximum durability.

Claims

CLAIMS What is claimed is:

1 . A medical cart, said cart comprising:

a handle;

a nozzle;

a plastic drop-in sink;

a basket;

a brace for supporting the cart when said cart is open;

hoses that provide water;

tanks;

a wheel lock; and

adjustable joints.

2. The medical cart according to Claim 1 , wherein said handle allows for pushing the cart from one location to another.

3. The medical cart according to Claim 1 , wherein said nozzle sprays water for hygienic tasks such as bathing, washing hair, and brushing teeth.

4. The medical cart according to Claim 2, wherein said basket is a front wide clip-on basket.

5. The medical cart according to Claim 1 , wherein said tanks are removable.

6. The medical cart according to Claim 5, wherein said tanks are used for refilling or disposing of dirty water.

7. The medical cart to Claim 1 , wherein said adjustable joints provide an easy means of folding up the cart when not in use.

8. The medical cart according to Claim 1 , wherein said cart is portable.

9. The medical cart according to Claim 1 , wherein said hoses comprise two hoses.

10. The medical cart according to Claim 9, wherein said two hoses comprise an intake hose and a disposal hose.

1 1 . The medical cart according to Claim 6, wherein said tanks comprise a water tank and a dump tank.

12. The medical cart according to Claim 1 , wherein said hoses are made of plastic.
