L'invention concerne une structure de cadre améliorée (ST) pour un canapé ou fauteuil rembourré (IM) à parties inclinables, comprenant un cadre (T) pour supporter et fixer des moyens formant bras quadrilatéral articulés pour déplacer lesdites parties inclinables; des moyens d'actionnement fixés auxdits moyens formant bras articulés pour déplacer lesdits moyens formant bras; et des moyens d'entraînement pour actionner lesdits moyens d'actionnement; ledit cadre (T) est formé par des moyens formant plaque latérale (P1, P2; P1', P2') aptes à être fixés à des moyens formant barre transversale (BT; BT1, BT2); au moins lesdits moyens formant plaque (P1, P2, P1', P2') et/ou lesdits moyens formant barre transversale (BT; BT1, BT2) étant conformés et agencés pour porter et fixer des moyens formant fil de liaison (Zi) pour relier lesdits moyens d'entraînement et lesdits moyens d'actionnement.
