Description
The present invention relates to a control method for using in a household appliance system comprising household appliances that can connect to a wireless local area network (WLAN).
Today, there is a wireless local area network in almost every home. Wireless local area networks created by means of modems enable electronic devices, especially smartphones and computers, to connect to the Internet. There are also household appliances that can connect to the wireless local area network in the house by means of a card provided thereon. The household appliances that can connect to the Internet can communicate with the server via the Internet. The server can send and receive data to and from the household appliances, thus the household appliances can be controlled. The network cards of the household appliances that can connect to the Internet have a MAC address. By means of the MAC addresses, the household appliances can identify themselves to the network and to the cloud. However, the MAC addresses cannot be used during the production. In order for each appliance to identify itself during the production, custom software and hardware is required. Installing said software and hardware to each appliance slows down and complicates the production process.
In the state of the art Chinese Patent Application CN103840939, a method is disclosed, that facilitates the reauthentication by means of a MAC address.
The aim of the present invention is the realization of a method for controlling a household appliance system.
The control method realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention and explicated in the first claim and the respective claims thereof is suitable to be used in a household appliance system comprises a modem for distributing the Internet connection; at least one household appliance that connects to the Internet by means of the modem; a network card that is disposed on the household appliance and that enables the household appliance to connect to the Internet, and a server that carries out data transmission with the household appliance via the Internet. By means of the modem, the household appliances are enabled to connect to the Internet and communicate with the cloud. The server can communicate with the household appliances via the cloud. Thus, data transmission can be carried out from the server to the household appliance and from the household appliance to the server.
The control method of the present invention comprises the steps of identifying the household appliance to the server according to the data sent from the household appliance to the server and sending a custom authentication information from the server to the household appliance. Thus, all the household appliances can be identified on the server.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the control method comprises the steps of checking whether the household appliance is already recorded according to the information received from the household appliance by means of a database on the server and sending the authentication number related to the household appliance. Thus, the previously-dedicated authentication numbers cannot be sent to different household appliances.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the control method comprises the steps of creating a new authentication number if no recorded authentication number related to the household appliance can be found on the database. Thus, the authentication numbers are not repeated.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the control method comprises the steps of scanning the database before creating a new authentication number and recording the new number on the database so as to correspond to the related household appliance. The authentication numbers are matched with the serial numbers of the household appliances and recorded on the database.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the control method comprises the steps of transmitting to the network card the authentication number sent from the server and recording the same on the network card on the household appliance. When the authentication number is deleted from the network card, the server can send again the same number to the network card.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the control method is suitable to be used in the household appliance system comprising a cooling device.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the control method is suitable to be used in the household appliance system comprising a cooking device.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the control method is suitable to be used in the household appliance system comprising a washer.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the control method is suitable to be used in the household appliance system comprising a dryer.
The electronic device realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention is illustrated in the attached figure, where:
Figure 1 – is the schematic view of the household appliance system.
The elements illustrated in the figures are numbered as follows:
- Household appliance system
- Modem
- Household appliance
- Network card
- Server
- Database
The control method is suitable to be used in a household appliance system (1) comprising a modem (2); at least one household appliance (3) that can connect to the Internet via the modem (2), a network card (4) that is disposed on the household appliance (3) and that provides the connection to the wireless local area network, and a server (5) that can carry out data transmission with the household appliance (3) via the Internet, comprising the steps of identifying the household appliance (3) according to the data sent from the household appliance (3) to the server (5) and sending a suitable authentication information to the household appliance (3) via the server (5). By means of the network card (4), the household appliance (3) can communicate with the modem (2) and connect to the Internet. Data transmission between the server (5) and the household appliance (3) is carried out by means of the cloud via the Internet. By means of the control method, information containing the MAC address of the household appliance (3) is transmitted from the household appliance (3) to the server (5). The server (5) transmits a suitable authentication number to the household appliance (3), thus providing the identification of the household appliance (3). Thus, the household appliance (3) can be followed after mass production. Malfunctions on the household appliance (3) can be remotely detected and maintenance can be carried out.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the server (5) comprises a database (6) wherein the information related to the household appliance (3) is recorded and the control method comprises the steps of checking the database (6) according to the information transmitted from the household appliance (3) to the server (5) and sending the authentication number related to the household appliance (3). After the transmission of information from the household appliance (3) to the server (5), the database (6) is scanned. The authentication number related to the household appliance (3) is sent to the household appliance (3).
In an embodiment of the present invention, the control method comprises the steps of creating a new authentication number if no authentication number related to the household appliance (3) can be found on the database (6) and sending the same to the household appliance (3). If no authentication number related to the household appliance (3) is found on the database (6), a new authentication number is created by the server (5) and sent to the household appliance (3). The server (5) creates an unused authentication number by randomly selecting 22 digits.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the control method comprises the steps of checking the database (6) before creating a new authentication number related to the household appliance (3) and recording the new authentication number on the database (6). Before creating a new authentication number, the database (6) is checked. Thus, the same authentication number cannot be used more than once. The newly-created authentication number is recorded on the database (6).
In an embodiment of the present invention, the control method comprises the steps of recording on the network card (4) the authentication number sent by the server (5) and sending again the previous authentication number by the server (5) if the authentication number on the network card (4) is deleted. When the authentication number recorded on the network card (4) is deleted, the server (5) sends again the same authentication number previously matched with the network card (4).
In an embodiment of the present invention, the control method is used on a cooling device.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the control method is used on a cooking device.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the control method is used on a washer.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the control method is used on a dryer.
By means of the control method, the household appliances (3) that can connect to the Internet can be more easily controlled. Thus, processes such as stock management, malfunction control, remote service are facilitated. The control method of the present invention comprises the steps of identifying the household appliance (3) on the server (5) and sending one authentication number to each household appliance (3). The authentication numbers and the MAC addresses on the household appliances (3) are matched and recorded on a database (6). Thus, the household appliances (3) can be controlled without the need for installing custom software and hardware on each household appliance (3).
