Definitions

  • the present application relates to the field of wireless communications, and more particularly, to a method, a control device, and a site device for wireless wake-up.
  • IEEE 802.11ba specifies that a Wake Up Receiver (WUR) can be used to implement the low power consumption of the Wireless Fidelity (WiFi) module.
  • WUR Wake Up Receiver
  • a WiFi terminal or a WiFi station device has a main communication module WiFi interface (or a WiFi module) and a low-power communication module WUR interface (or a WUR module), which is associated with a STA at the STA.
  • the WiFi interface is in a deep sleep state (the WiFi module is powered off) in the case of no communication, so as to save power, when the AP needs to send data to the STA.
  • the WUR interface of the STA sends a wake-up message (WUP), and the WUR wakes up the STA's WiFi interface after receiving the WUP, and then powers up the WiFi module, so that the STA's main communication module can receive the downlink data sent by the AP to the STA.
  • WUP wake-up message
  • WUR is a simple receiver that does not have a transmit function and can only receive information at a very low rate.
  • WUR also uses a duty cycle (DC) mode of operation, for example, a duty cycle of 100 milliseconds. Among them, 10 milliseconds WUR is in the awake state, and can receive signals, and the other 90 milliseconds WUR is in a sleep state, and cannot receive signals.
  • DC duty cycle
