Definitions
- the present invention relates to water pump pliers and the like.
- a plier called a water pump plier has been known as a tool used for connecting pipes such as water pipes and gas pipes.
- the water pump pliers are, for example, pliers obtained by bending the direction of the opening with respect to the direction in which the handle portion extends.
- the water pump pliers are used, for example, for tightening the lock nut and the coupling between the upper jaw portion and the lower jaw portion.
- the connecting part of the water pump pliers usually has a structure that can be slid large. If the connecting part is slid, the upper jaw part and the lower jaw part will open widely, and it will be possible to pinch large objects more securely. It becomes.
- FIG. 11 is a right side view (FIG. 11A) of an example of a conventional water pump plier with the first jaw portion 91 and the second jaw portion 92 closed, and the first jaw portion 91 and It is a right view (Drawing 11 (b)) in the state where the 2nd jaw part 92 was opened (refer nonpatent literature 1).
- the arm having the first jaw portion 91 and the arm having the second jaw portion 92 are rotated about the connecting shaft 93 as the rotation shaft, whereby the first jaw portion 91 and the second jaw portion 91 are rotated.
- the jaw portion 92 can be opened and closed to hold an object to be clamped such as a lock nut.
- the tip of the upper jaw portion 91 and the tip of the lower jaw portion 92 are provided with screws attached so as to extend in the tip direction. It is possible to use the object by pulling or turning the object with the object such as the head in between.
- the upper jaw portion 91 and the lower jaw portion 92 have a distal end side. Since the position at which the two surfaces including the opposing surfaces intersect each other moves greatly, when the object such as the head of the screw is sandwiched between the tip of the upper jaw portion 91 and the tip of the lower jaw portion, It is difficult to predict the movement and the movement of the lower jaw part 92, and when closing the upper jaw part 91 and the lower jaw part 92, the upper jaw part 92 moves so that the tip of the lower jaw part protrudes forward once.
- the conventional water pump pliers have a problem that the operability is poor when the object is sandwiched between the tip of the upper jaw portion 91 and the tip of the lower jaw portion. For this reason, the water pump pliers could not be properly used for limited applications.
- the present invention has been made to solve the above-described problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a water pump plier with an expanded application that can be used appropriately.
- the water pump pliers of the present invention are provided on the first arm, the first arm and the second arm having the jaw portion on the first end portion and the handle portion on the second end portion side. It is inserted into a hole that can be locked at two or more different positions, and the first arm and the second arm are rotatably connected to each other, and the connecting part is locked at two or more different positions of the hole. And a locking structure for adjusting the opening width between the jaw portions, and the first opposing surface is provided at the tip of the jaw portion of the first arm and the tip of the jaw portion of the second arm.
- the second opposing surface is provided, and the rotation center of the connecting portion is locked to the first opposing surface and the second in a state where the connecting portion is locked at the position where the opening width of the jaw portion is the narrowest by the locking structure.
- It is a water pump plier located on the surface equidistant from the opposing surface.
- an object such as a screw head can be sandwiched between the tip of the first facing surface and the tip of the second facing surface, and the object can be removed.
- the center of rotation of the connecting part is positioned on the extension of the axis of the object such as a screw to be sandwiched, so that the positioning when grasping the object without looking at the tip of the jaw part, etc. Can be performed intuitively with reference to the position of the connecting portion, and operability can be improved.
- the first opposing surface and the second opposing surface can be moved so that the angle formed by each normal line and the moving direction of each surface is constant, the head of the screw, etc.
- the movement between the first opposing surface and the second opposing surface is easy to predict and the movement is not complicated.
- Positioning and the like can be easily performed, and a screw head or the like can be easily sandwiched.
- the tip of the second facing surface of the jaw portion located on the lower side is in a direction substantially parallel to the first facing surface.
- the use which can be utilized appropriately of a water pump plier can be expanded.
- the water pump pliers of the present invention are water pump pliers in which, in the water pump pliers, the first facing surface and the second facing surface have a recess provided with a ridge extending from the tip of the jaw portion.
- the object such as the head of a screw can be securely clamped between the tip of the first facing surface and the tip of the second facing surface, and the object can be removed.
- the leading ends of the ridges respectively provided on the jaw portion of the first arm and the jaw portion of the second arm are in a state where the jaw portion is closed.
- the water pump pliers are inclined so that the ridges are separated from each other as the distance from the tip of the jaw portion increases.
- the front ends of the two recesses can be made parallel or close to parallel, and the object can be securely clamped.
- the water pump pliers of the present invention are the above water pump pliers, in the direction in which the first arm or the second arm extends, on the second end side of at least one of the first arm or the second arm.
- the wrench-shaped portion can be used as an n-square wrench having a different size, and the convenience of work can be enhanced.

- the driver shape portion can be used as a minus driver, and the convenience of work can be enhanced.
- the water pump plier of the present invention further includes a cover member that is detachably attached to a handle portion of at least one of the first arm and the second arm in the water pump plier, and the cover member is arranged in the longitudinal direction.
- the arm has an opening that extends, reaches the at least one end, has a C-shaped cross section perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the opening, and the handle of the arm into which the cover member is fitted
- a fitting portion having a shape that can be fitted into the inside of the cover member through the opening is provided.
- the insertion portion of the arm to which the cover member is attached is inserted into the C-shaped interior of the cover member from the open end of the cover member.
- the cover member can be attached to the handle portion by sliding, and the cover member can be easily attached to and detached from the handle portion. Further, since the cross section is C-shaped, the cover member can be prevented from rotating around the handle portion.
- the water pump pliers according to the present invention are attached to the arm by sliding the cover member from the first end side to the second end side of the arm in the water pump plier. Water pump pliers.
- the cover member can be easily detachable from the water pump plier by sliding the cover member, and the cover member is fitted from a direction different from the direction in which the arm is moved. it can.
- each cover member has a locking surface at a portion on the second end side in a state of being attached to the arm, and each cover member is attached.
- the water is further provided with a cover locking portion that locks with the locking surface of the cover member and prevents the movement of the cover member to the second end side.
- the water pump pliers of the present invention are water pump pliers in which the handle portion to which the cover member is attached has a non-slip shape in a portion exposed when the cover member is removed. .
- the water pump pliers according to the present invention can expand applications that can be used appropriately.
