Abstract

A separator ultrasonic welding method according to an aspect of the present invention includes: making heat resistant layers of at least two separators each of which has a resin layer and the heat resistant layer formed on the resin layer opposedly face each other; sandwiching the at least two separators between a vibration member which generates ultrasonic vibration and a support member which supports the separators; and making the vibration member and the at least two separators move relative to each other, wherein a contact surface of one of the vibration member and the support member with the separator is formed in a convex curved shape as viewed in a side view perpendicular to the relative movement direction, and the vibration member or the support member is brought into contact with the separator in a spotted manner, and the at least two separators are welded to each other while being cut due to the relative movement.
