Abstract
The present invention refers to a game table which allows moving the position of the frame sides on a board, thus creating changeable shapes. The board being also provided with holes or pockets can be placed onto a flat surface. It allows the gamers to vary the rules and the type of the game.
Description
TABLE HAVING CHANGEABLE SHAPES
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION The present invention may be included in the field of games and entertainment, particularly, table games. More particularly, the object of the invention refers to a game table with changeable shapes having multiple holes (pockets) that can be placed onto a fixed flat surface. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Several game tables are known in the state of the art. As an example there is the conventional pool table, being rectangular in shape with 6 holes (pockets), static and with fixed rails.
Other pool tables are provided with variations such as the poker type table (patent No US4,948,128), elliptical table (patent No US5,226,644), or variable point pool table (patent No US6,319,141 ), among others. However, a table with holes which can have different shapes is not known in the art.
Therefore, the present invention provides a novel game table featuring different ways of arranging the edges of the rails and pockets, such that it can be adapted to each particular game.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The present invention refers to a game table having holes (pockets) which can adopt different shapes thanks to a mechanism that provides for changing the sides or rails. Thus, for example, it can have a hexagonal, rectangular and triangular shape depending on what is required.
Thereby, an aspect of the invention refers to a game table with changeable shapes characterized in that it comprises:
- a board having holes and
- movable rails or sides placed onto the board, configured so as to form different shapes therewith. In a preferred embodiment, the board is onto a flat surface.
The board can be moved from one surface to another.
DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
The figure represents, with an illustrative and non-limiting purpose, the following:
FIG. 1 .- It shows a panoramic view of the game table with changeable shapes with its rails arranged in a hexagonal (A), rectangular (B) and triangular (C) shape.
PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
The following is a detailed description, with the help of figure 1 referred to above, of an exemplary preferred embodiment of the present invention.
The following figures are not to scale. The actual dimension for each of the components may vary according to the user needs. The most significant details of the device are emphasized, in order that a person not skilled in the art can clearly appreciate the concept.
FIG. 1 is a panoramic elevation view of the table with changeable shapes. The table is shown with its hexagonal shape (FIG.1 A), with the rails thereof in a rectangular shape (FIG. 1 B) and with the rails in a triangular shape (FIG. 1 B). FIG. 1 shows the board (1 ), the movable rails or sides (2) and the holes or pockets (3) the table comprise.
Claims
1 . - Table with changeable shapes characterized in that it comprises:
- a board having holes and
- movable rails or sides placed onto the board, configured so as to form different shapes therewith.
2. - Game table according to claim 1 , wherein the board is placed onto a flat surface.
