Description

A FUMIGANT Technical Field
File present invention relates to a fumigant winch enables disinfection of the environment by exhibiting biocidal effect against bacteria and fungi by means of the gas generated as a result of combustion of active agents existing within the structure thereof.
Background of the invention
Places such as store, warehouse are disinfected so as to be kept safe from pests such as bacteria, fungi. Fumigation transaction is one of the most known disinfection methods. The disinfection material being included in the fumigant used in fumigation transaction is combusted by means of a fuse and the smoke generated as a result of combustion provides disinfection of the area desired to be disinfected, However, production of cord is a transaction consuming time and requiring extra cost due to the fact that the fuse is produced apart from the product, placed into a package and fixed. In addition, using an apparatus may be dangerous in terms of security due to the fact that a flame combustion takes place during combustion of the disinfection product in apparatus used in some fumigation transactions.
The United States patent document no. US20031 1 1637. an application in the state of the art, discloses a device which enables a volatile component to be released to the environment as a result of a controlled exothermic reaction. The device disclosed in the said document comprises a mixture which has particles generating exothermic reaction in its content, a water soluble coating which encases the said particles, a volatile component which can be a fumigant or a disinfectant, an aqueous solution, and a buffer. However, a light and a power source are required for realization of the reaction in the device.
The United States patent document no. US3956849. an application in the state of the art, discloses a fumigant container. The container described in the invention disclosed in the said document comprises an internal heater having a cover, a mixture composing smoke and an auto-combustible material. However, an external heating system is required for activation of the smoke-composing mixture in the said container.
Summary of the Invention
An objective of the present invention is to realize a fumigant which has high- antibacterial effect.
An objective of the present invention is to realize a fumigant which can maintain its efficiency in the presence of organic waste.
An objective of the present invention is to realize a fumigant which has a lower toxicity in comparison to metal complexes.
An objective of the present invention is to realize a fumigant which has low- production cost. Detailed Description of the Invention
"A Fumigant" realized to fulfil the objectives of the present invention is shown in the figure attached, in which:
Figure 1 is a schematic view of the exploded form of the inventive product. The components illustrated in the figure are individually numbered, where the numbers refer to the following: 1. Fumigant
2. Pore
3. Bottom layer
4. Dust layer
5. Upper layer
A fumigant ( 1 ) enabling disinfection of the environment where it's located comprises:
at least one bottom layer (3) whereon there is at least one pore (2), which has water permeability;
at least one dust layer (4) which is located on the upper part of the said bottom layer (3) and generates an exothermic reaction when it contacts with water;
at least one upper layer (5) which is located on the upper part of the dust layer (4) and wherein there are 2-phenyiphenol and orthophytalaldehyde active substances and enables active substances to be released to external environment by switching to the gas phase by means of the heat generated as a result of the exothermic reaction created in the dust layer (4).
The inventive fumigant (1) is positioned such that the bottom layer (3) of the fumigant (1 ) will contact with water in order to provide disinfection of the environment where it's located. Water reaches the dust layer (4) by passing through the pore (2) located in the bottom layer (3) and an exothermic reaction takes place in the dust layer (4) contacting with the water. The heat released as a result of the exothermic reaction enables active substances of 2-phenylphenol and orthophytalaldehyde. which are included in the upper layer (5) located in the upper part of the dust layer (4), to switch to the gas phase and the active substances are released to the environment where the fumigant (1) is located. Thus, the environment where the fumigant ( 1 ) is located is disinfected.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the upper layer (5) is in gel form and it preferably comprises 2-phenylphenoI in the ratio of 15% by weight andorthophytalaldehyde in the ratio of 5% by weight..
In another preferred embodiment of the invention, the dust layer (4) preferably comprises ammonium nitrate in the ratio of 30-35% by weight, silicon dioxide in the ratio of 5-10% by weight, sodium chloride in the ratio of 5-6% by weight and dicyandi amide in the ratio of 5-10% by weight.
Within these basic concepts, it is possible to develop a great variety of embodiments of the inventive "A Fumigant "; it cannot be limited to the examples disclosed herein and it is essentially according to the claims.
