Abstract

The invention relates to a method for measuring a voltage that is present in an electrical conductor (10). The object of the invention is that of providing a means for measuring voltage in an electrical conductor which does not require any direct contact with the electrical conductor. To achieve this, according to the invention: a measurable variable is detected by means of a sensor (40), the measurable variable being suitable for characterising the electrical field strength acting in the vicinity of the conductor (10) on a reference electrode (11) and the reference electrode (11) at least partially consisting of an electrically conductive material and being electrically insulated and spaced apart from the conductor (10); and the voltage present in the electrical conductor (10) is determined with the aid of the detected measurable variable using a measuring device (60) that is in contact with the sensor (40). The invention also relates to a measuring arrangement for measuring voltage, to an arrangement comprising a sensor and to the use of a sensor for measuring voltage.
