Abstract
The present invention relates to a washer (1) comprising a washing tub (2) having a rear wall (3), a traverse (4) that is placed onto the rear wall (3) so as to be close to the ceiling (T) of the washing tub (2), an top cover (5) that extends towards over the traverse (4) so as to cover the ceiling (T) of the washing tub (2) and a hose (6), one end of which is connected to the discharge pump and the other end extending towards the mains drain.
Description
The present invention relates to a washer that comprises a holder for holding the hose placed therein.
In washers, the wash water is discharged to the mains drain by means of a discharge hose. The hose is suspended at half meter from the floor in order to prevent the wash water from siphoning and returning. In order to suspend the hose, additional components such as holder, etc. wherein the hose is placed, are used.
In the state of the art washers (1'), the hose (2') is preferably placed into a holder (3') produced from plastic and the holder (3') is hung onto the traverse (5') by means of a wire or a double clamp (4'). However, due to the breaking of the clamp (4') or coming loose thereof because of erroneous assembly, the hose (2') is suspended at a level lower than the desired level. In such cases, the wash water siphons and leaks from the drain, causing losses in the cleaning performance of the washer.
Moreover, if the washer (1') is away from the mains drain due to its position in the house, the user may break the clamp (4') and dislocate the hose (2'). If the holder (3') becoming free together with the hose (2') is not hung at the desired height on the wall, the problem of the wash water siphoning and returning may occur.
In the state of the art United States Patent Application No. US2011012485, a household appliance like the one in the preliminary part of Claim 1 is described.
The aim of the present invention is the realization of a washer wherein the decrease in washing performance that may occur due to the incorrect placement of the hose is eliminated.
The washer realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention, explicated in the first claim and the respective claims thereof comprises a holder that is fixed onto the traverse mounted to the rear wall of the washing tub and wherein the hose providing the discharge of the wash water is placed. The top cover covering the ceiling of the washing tub extends towards over the traverse. At least some portion of the top cover bears against at least some portion of the holder and in order to detach the holder from the traverse, the top cover must also be detached. Since the hose is positioned at a certain height from the floor when fastened into the holder located on the traverse, problems such as the siphoning of the wash water are eliminated.
Since the hose is placed into the holder, it is not possible to detach the hose from the holder without detaching the top cover. In cases that the washer is placed at a position away from the mains drain, the holder must be detached from the traverse first by detaching the top cover. The holder can be detached from the traverse without causing any damage by detaching the top cover. The holder and the hose are detached together to be mounted at a position close to the mains drain at a certain height from the floor.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the holder comprises a housing that partially surrounds the hose placed therein and a cover that prevents the hose from leaving the housing. In the open position of the cover that can shift between two positions, that is open and closed positions, the hose is provided to be placed into the housing, and in the closed position the hose is prevented from leaving the housing.
In another embodiment of the present invention, the top cover prevents the cover in the closed position from opening by bearing against the cover and prevents the hose placed into the housing from leaving the housing. The top cover must be detached in order to shift the cover to the open position and to remove the hose from the housing.
In another embodiment of the present invention, an orifice providing the hose to be placed into the housing is arranged on the housing.
In another embodiment of the present invention, one end of the cover is attached to one end of the housing so as to rotate around the horizontal axis it is connected to. The cover is shifted to the open position wherein the front of the orifice is open and to the closed position wherein the front of the orifice is closed. In the open position of the cover, the hose is passed through the orifice to be placed into the housing or to be removed from the housing. When the cover is closed, the cover prevents the hose from leaving the housing.
In another embodiment of the present invention, the holder comprises a detent means disposed on the outer surface of the housing and a barrier that is disposed at one end of the cover and that is fitted over the detent means when the cover is closed, thus providing the cover to be locked. By means of the detent means and the barrier, the hose is provided to be fixed in the holder by locking the cover after the hose is placed into the housing.
In another embodiment of the present invention, the cover has an L-shaped cross-section. When the cover is in the closed position, some portion of the cover closes the front of the orifice and the other portion extends towards the outer wall of the housing.
In another embodiment of the present invention, at least one opening located on the traverse is arranged and at least one extension is disposed, that is located on the holder, providing the holder to be fastened onto the traverse by being fitted into the opening. The extension located above the housing is fitted into the opening arranged at the top surface of the traverse and the extension located below the housing is fitted into the opening arranged at the front surface of the traverse. Thus the holder is provided to be fastened to the traverse.
In another embodiment of the present invention, more than one opening are arranged on the traverse so as to be spaced apart from each other in the horizontal direction. According to the position of the washer in the house, the holder is mounted onto the traverse by fitting the extensions on the holder into the opening located at a position closer to the mains drain.
In another embodiment of the present invention, a screwing hole providing the holder to be fastened onto the traverse is arranged on the extension.
In different embodiments of the present invention, the washer is a dishwasher, a washing machine or a laundry washing and drying machine.
By means of the present invention, the holder wherein the hose is placed is prevented from being detached from the traverse without detaching the top cover.
