Abstract

L'invention porte sur un système pour stimuler un nerf, comprenant : une structure d'électrode implantable ayant une base et une pluralité d'électrodes ; un dispositif de commande implantable ayant un stimulateur, apte à fournir des impulsions électriques aux électrodes, un émetteur apte à émettre des signaux vers d'autres composants du système, un récepteur apte à recevoir des signaux d'autres composants du système, et un processeur apte à traiter les différentes activités exécutées par le système ; et une source d'énergie implantable apte à fournir de l'énergie électrique au dispositif de commande implantable. La structure d'électrode implantable comprend en outre une pluralité de branches non conductrices s'étendant à partir de la base, et au moins l'une des électrodes étant située sur les branches, produisant ainsi un réseau tridimensionnel d'électrodes.
