Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Verbesserung des Umgriffs einer Elektrotauchlack-Beschichtung durch Beschichten von metallischen Oberflächen mit einer Silan/Silanol/Siloxan/Polysiloxan enthaltenden Vorbehandlungs-Zusammensetzung, wobei diese Zusammensetzung neben Wasser a) mindestens eine Verbindung a) ausgewählt aus Silanen, Silanolen, Siloxanen und Polysiloxanen enthält, von denen mindestens eine dieser Verbindungen noch kondensieren kann, und b) mindestens eine Titan-, Hafnium- oder/und Zirkonium-haltige Verbindung b) sowie c) mindestens eine Art Kationen c) ausgewählt aus Kationen von Metallen der 1. bis 3. und 5. bis 8. Nebengruppe einschließlich Lanthaniden sowie der 2. Hauptgruppe des Periodensystems der Elemente oder/und mindestens eine entsprechende Verbindung c) oder/und d) mindestens eine organische Verbindung d) enthält ausgewählt aus Monomeren, Oligomeren, Polymeren, Copolymeren und Blockcopolymeren, wobei die mit dieser Zusammensetzung frisch aufgebrachte Beschichtung zumindest einmal mit Wasser gespült wird, wobei a) mindestens eine Wasserspülung einen Gehalt an Tensid aufweist oder/und wobei b) die Substrate vor der Silan-basierten Vorbehandlung mindestens einmal mit einer eisenhaltigen wässerigen Zusammensetzung behandelt werden, wobei nach dem Spülen mit Wasser eine Elektrotauchlack-Beschichtung aufgebracht wird und wobei die mit dieser Zusammensetzung frisch aufgebrachte Beschichtung bis zu diesem Spülen nicht durchgetrocknet wird, so dass die mindestens eine kondensationsfähige Verbindung a) bis zum Spülen der Vorbehandlungs-Beschichtung mit Wasser oder/und bis zum Beschichten mit einem Elektrotauchlack nicht stark kondensiert.
