Abstract

Systems and methods to dispense various liquids, foams and sprays, of various viscosities, such as, for example, paints and stains, from a self-contained wearable apparatus are presented. These devices use the "bag within a bag" or inner container/outer container Flair® technology. A device can be provided that is portable and self-contained, can be worn by a user, and can utilize pre-filled containers of the product to be dispensed, thus obviating use of a separate paint container to which a user is effectively tethered. Novel activation mechanisms allow the system to intelligently sense when a user desires actuate/deactuate the device. These mechanisms incorporate fail-safe sensors that lock out the on/off switch if a user's hand is not sensed as actually holding the paint brush. Various Flair® bottles can be used, with various nozzles, brushes, rollers and other dispensing devices.
