Abstract
Provided are a method and an apparatus for transmitting channel state information (CSI) by a user equipment in a carrier aggregation system, in which a plurality of serving cells are set. The method is comprises the following steps: selecting serving cells which are set by receiving setting information on allocation of the plurality of serving cells; selecting at least one activated serving cell from the serving cells that are set by receiving activation information, which expresses activation of each of the serving cells that are set; deciding the size of a channel state information reporting field based on the serving cells that are set; generating the channel state information based on priority; and transmitting the channel state information that is generated through the channel state information reporting field having the size which is decided.
