Abstract

L'invention porte sur un appareil de chauffage catalytique portatif pouvant être utilisé pour sécher, durcir, polymériser ou réticuler des revêtements et des matériaux composites, tels que des matériaux composites organiques. L'appareil selon l'invention comprend une chambre de combustion catalytique, un bac support pour la chambre de combustion, un adaptateur qui raccorde la chambre de combustion à une alimentation en combustible, une vanne de régulation destinée à réguler un flux de combustible, un injecteur servant à mélanger le combustible avec de l'air et à envoyer un mélange combustible-air uniforme à la chambre de combustion. L'appareil de chauffage peut comprendre une alimentation en combustible intégrée et peut comprendre en outre des poignées et/ou sangles mobiles qui permettent de le transporter et de le positionner facilement. L'appareil de chauffage peut être de nature à pouvoir être porté à la main. Avant que l'appareil de chauffage soit utilisé, il peut être attaché à une base équipée de moyens piézoélectriques pour l'allumage du mélange combustible-air. Même si l'appareil est utilisé dans un endroit dangereux, sa base d'allumage peut rester en permanence en dehors des lieux dangereux.
