Description
BATCHING AND DELIVERING PUMP FOR ELECTRIC TOOL
The present invention refers to a batching and delivering pump that can be applied to an electric tool .
As known, the art proposes numerous devices atapted to allow the delivery and application of pasty fluid substances such as glues, silicones, stuccoes, etc.
In particular, for laying the silicone contained in tube-shaped cartridges, a suitable gun is used, composed of a stem with an aluminium structure and a rounded or trapezoidal thrusting rod that ends with a circular base, whose diameter is equal to the internal diameter of the silicone tube: obviously, the silicone tube must be arranged into the suitable gun seat. Depending on the width of the area to be treated, the user must decide the height at which the tube mouth must be cut,' that has a. perfectly conical shape, since the consistency of the silicone strip decreases when the mouth cut moves towards its bit. As appears
from above, and from the practical use of the above type of gun, the accurate batching of the silicone to be applied is rather difficult, since it is completely demanded to the use sensitivity of the gun by a user.
For applying stuccoes and silicone pasty rubbers through extrusion, the art further proposes pneumatically-operating guns.
Moreover, for applying glues, the art proposes a heating gun on the back side of which a stick of solid glue is inserted, which, passing inside a thermal resistance, upon pressing the trigger, is melted and poured from the mouth of the gun.
All delivering devices proposed by the prior art however are scarcely efficient in accurately batching the substance to be delivered, making its dispensing on the laying surfaces rather scarcely uniform.
Moreover, the art does not propose any batching and delivering device for pasty fluid substances such as glues, silicones, stuccoes, that can be applied to an electric tool, advantageously also of the common and commercial type, such as a drill or a screwing device, that performs and controls its operation.
Therefore, object of the present invention is solving the above prior art problems, by providing a batching and delivering pump for pasty fulid substances such as glues, silicones, stuccoes, that can be applied to the spindle of an electric tool, such as for example a drill or a screwing device, through which such pumps can be actuated and the delivery and batching of such substance can be controlled.
Another object of the present invention is providing a batching and delivering pump for pasty fluid substances that can be applied to an electric tool that allows a more uniform dispensing of such substance.
The above and other objects and advantages of the invention, as will appear from the following description, are obtained by batching and delivering pump that can be applied to an electric tool as claimed in Claim 1. Preferred embodiments and non-trivial variations of the present invention are claimed in the dependent Claims.
It will be immediately obvious that numerous variations and modifications (for example related to shape, sizes, arrangements and parts with equivalent functionality) can be made to what is
described without departing from the scope of the invention as appears from the enclosed claims.
The present invention will be better described by some preferred embodiments thereof, given as a non-limiting example, with reference to the enclosed drawings, in which:
Figure 1 shows a top perspective view of a preferred embodiment of the pump according to the present invention;
Figure 2 shows a side view of the pump of Figure 1;
Figure 3 shows a sectional view of the pump of Figure 2;
Figure 4 shows a top perspective view of the pump according to the present invention applied to an electric tool; and
Figure 5 shows another top perspective view of the pump according to the present invention applied to an electric tool.
In general, the batching and delivering pump according to the present invention is adapted to volumetrically batch and deliver a certain amount of a pasty fluid substance such as glue, silicone, stucco, preferably contained inside a cartridge, the operation of such pump 1 being actuated by the
rotation of the spindle of an electric tool to which the pump itself is operatively connected.
With particular reference to the Figures, it is possible to note that the batching and delivering pump 1 according to the present invention comprises a pump with progressive recesses (device used only for pumping extremely viscous substances, such as for example concrete) composed of an external case 3 containing at least one stator 5 of the pump inside which at least one internal rotor 7 can rotate. In particular, the internal rotor 7 is shaped as a worm screw with progressive recesses whose relative rotation with respect to the stator 5 generates a translation movement of the fluid present inside it. The external case 3 is then equipped with a first opening 9 adapted to allow the entry of the substance to be batched and delivered inside the stator 5: preferably, the first opening 9 is equipped with connecting means adapted to allow the connection of a cartridge 10 containing the substance to be batched and delivered, and to communicate the inside of such cartridge with the inside of the stator 5. Moreover, it is possible to provide that the first opening 9 is equipped with
connecting means, for example a quick connector, to a fluidic duct adapted to supply the pump 1 with the substance to be batched and delivered stored in a remote tank.
Next to the output end of the pump with progressive recesses, the external case 3 is equipped with a second output opening 11 adapted to communicate the inside of the stator 5 with the outside. Obviously, the second opening 11 can be externally equipped with a suitable delivering nozzle 13 of the substance batched by the pump with progressive recesses. Alternatively, the second output opening 11 can be externally equipped with a connecting nipple equipped with related sealing means adapted to be inserted and airtightly coupled inside a fluidic output duct to allow delivering the substance at a greater distance from the pump 1 according to the present invention.
To allow the connection of the pump 1 according to the present invention to the spindle of an electric tool 14 (as shown in particular in Figures 4 and 5) the internal rotor 7 goes out of the external case 3 through a portion of rotary shaft 15 that can be connected in a known way to such spindle, preferably in such a way that the
rotation axis of the spindle is coaxial with the rotation axis of the internal rotor 7: in order to make the connection of the pump 1 to the respective electric tool 14 more stable, next to such portion of rotary shaft 15, the external case 3 is equipped with a suitable seat 17 adapted to house inside it at least the spindle of the electric tool 14 itself. Once having then connected the portion of rotary shaft 15 of the internal rotor 7 to the spindle of the electric tool 14, the internal rotor 7 is taken to rotate inside the stator 5 under the rotation action of the spindle of the electric tool 14 (drill, screwing device, etc.) to which it is applied and controlled by the user. When it is actuated by the rotation of the spindle of the electric tool 14, the pump with progressive recesses of the pump 1, during the rotation movement of its internal rotor 7, transfers certain amounts of substance, depending on the amount of rotation impressed by the user by acting on the operation of the electric tool 14, entering inside the stator 5 through the first input opening 9, towards and through the second output opening 11.
The advantages deriving from the use of the pump 1 according to the present invention, with
respect to what is proposed by the prior art are numerous:
when the internal rotor 7 is unmoving with respect to the stator 5, the pump with progressive recesses guarantees a perfect seal;
the reliability of the pump with progressive recesses is practically complete since the single moving part is the internal rotor 7 and the wear due to revolving friction due to the relative movement between the internal rotor 7 and the stator 5 is neglectable;
the pump with progressive recesses allows an extremely accurate volumetric delivery of fluid: in fact the delivered volumetric batching is proportional to the rotation performed by the internal rotor 7, whose rotation is controlled through the electric tool 14;
once having ended the delivery of the substance, by imposing to the internal rotor 7 a counter-rotation with a suitable entity, part of the fluid remained inside the stator 5 can be sucked, avoiding dripping or drying the substance to be delivered.
