Abstract

The invention relates to a drive system for an electric vehicle and to an electric vehicle comprising such a drive system. A separate aspect of the solution relates to a battery module (15) for an electric vehicle and to an electric vehicle comprising such a battery module (15). The drive system comprises an electric motor (11) and an inverter (12) for generating an alternating voltage for the operation of the electric motor (11) from a direct voltage having a predetermined fixed voltage value. According to the invention, the drive system comprises a DC/DC converter (14), which is designed to generate the direct voltage, and a first and second input for connecting a battery module (15). The battery module (15) comprises a plurality of battery cells and a first DC/DC converter (14), which is designed to generate a direct voltage having a predetermined fixed voltage value.
