Abstract

La présente demande concerne un procédé de fabrication d'anhydride maléique comprenant les étapes suivantes: a) fermentation de matières premières renouvelables et, éventuellement purification pour produire un mélange comprenant au moins du butanol; b) oxydation du butanol en anhydride maléique à une température généralement comprise entre 300 et 600 °C, au moyen d'un catalyseur à base d'oxydes de vanadium et/ou de molybdène; c) isolation de l'anhydride maléique obtenu à l'issus de l'étape b). Elle concerne aussi l'anhydride maléique obtenu à partir de matières premières renouvelables, les copolymères et les compositions comprenant ledit anhydride maléique et aussi les utilisations de cet anhydride maléique.
