Abstract
La présente invention concerne une composition pharmaceutique convenant au traitement et à la prévention d'une maladie d'un mammifère et comprenant un composé chimique ou un extrait médicinal, ou une combinaison des deux, ces agents présentant une activité antivirale, antibactérienne, fongicide, anti-inflammatoire, antiallergique, anticancéreuse, immunomodulatrice ou favorisant la guérison des membranes. L'invention concerne également un système d'administration de la composition jusqu'aux sinus difficiles à atteindre d'un mammifère de façon à réduire la charge d'agent pathogène, à réduire la quantité de médiateurs inflammatoires, à guérir les modifications pathologiques, et de façon collective, à traiter une maladie d'un mammifère tel que la rhino-sinusite mycosique allergique. Le procédé selon l'invention permet de traiter une maladie humaine en s'attaquant aux agents infectieux et inflammatoires sans être source de résistance aux antibiotiques ni d'événements indésirables. L'invention concerne enfin un nécessaire permettant de recueillir un échantillon de solution nasale pour déterminer par analyse la quantité de médicament administrée dans les cavités naso-sinusales ou pour déterminer la charge microbienne du rhinosinus.
