Accordingly, each gripper 14 may be steered into a certain location on the corresponding beam and then be locked in place. The locking may work by means of a compressed air brake or a magnet. Also the jaws 18 of the grippers are provided with control and mechanics by means of which they may be opened and closed in the way indicated by arrows M5.

In practice, the realization may be e.g. such that full details in accordance with certain specification are included in the central database from which the necessary information is searched and loaded to the different parts of the system for being possibly first worked up and then utilized there.
  • the broken line T in Fig. 4 indicates a plane going through the grippers, on which plane a roof truss or other corresponding structure is assembled in an assembly unit formed in the way described above.

  • the members are fastened to each other by means of nail plates, and the press used for the fastening needs enough room also around the junction and the nail plates.

Abstract

Système de façonnage de fermes de toiture ou de structures similaires à partir d’éléments destinés à être placés les uns contre les autres, le système comportant plusieurs organes de préhension disposés dans un plan d’assemblage défini afin d’être orientés vers certains emplacements et positions pour que certains éléments forment une structure sur ceux-ci et des moyens de contrôle des opérations du système ainsi que des moyens de réalisation desdites opérations contrôlées, le système étant caractérisé en ce que plusieurs organes (14) de préhension sont placés sur une poutre (11, 12) sur un même axe destiné à un élément de base de la structure, de telle sorte que la poutre (11, 12) puisse se déplacer dans une direction quelconque (Ml, M3: M4) et pivoter (R) jusqu’à une position souhaitée. Dans un mode de réalisation, le système comporte un rail de transfert et des montants (9, 10) mobiles sur celui-ci, sur lesquels une poutre (11, 12) peut être orientée, le plan d’assemblage étant de ce fait un plan vertical parallèle au plan du rail de transfert.
