Abstract

The invention relates to a price-setting method and system in a trading environment. According to an embodiment of the invention, the invention relates to a method of setting the price of an instrument, the method comprising the following steps: generating a reference price tunnel (TR) for a particular instrument; generating an auction tunnel (TL) based on the spread limits of said reference tunnel, wherein the auction tunnel follows the variations of said reference tunnel; starting an auction when an offer inserted in the book is within the limits of the reference tunnel and the auction tunnel; and concluding the operation at the end of the auction.
