Abstract
ソフトウェアで判定を行う場合の処理負荷を軽減するとともに落下開始を確実に判定できるようにし、また必要に応じて落下予測も行えるようにした落下検知装置、それを備えた磁気ディスク装置および携帯電子機器を構成する。 直交3軸方向の加速度(ax,ay,az)を求め、3軸方向の各加速度について、定常時の加速度(ax0,ay0,az0)と落下判定時の加速度(ax,ay,az)との差が大きくなるほど評価値が大きくなる評価関数に基づいて評価値を求め、この評価値が所定のしきい値を超えるか否かによって落下開始を判定する。
