Abstract

L'invention concerne un béton structural allégé permettant le vissage et le clouage de manière similaire au bois. Ledit béton est composé d'un agrégat non structural et extrêmement léger tel qu'une perlite expansée ou une combinaison de perlite expansée et de billes de polystyrène d'une distribution de taille particulière et en quantité volumique particulière, de cellules d'air entraîné d'une autre distribution de taille spécifique et en quantité volumique spécifique, et d'une composition à base de ciment, dense, comprenant un liant cimentaire, une charge fine de qualité structurale plus grosse que la qualité de sable utilisée pour le béton, une pouzzolane, et de manière facultative des microfibres de renforcement. Cette matrice de béton structural est optimisée pour accepter des clous en T de calibre 13 et des vis à bois à tête trompette dont le pas de vis va de 8 à 11 filets par pouce (25,4 mm) et dont le diamètre se situe entre 0,10 pouce (2,54 mm) et 0,137 pouce (3,48 mm). Le béton résultant permettra le vissage et le clouage de manière régulière et similaire au bois.
