Abstract

 本発明は、特に燃料電池で使用する灯油や軽油などの炭化水素油の脱硫方法について、還元処理や水素を必要とせず、また、常温から100°C程度までの温度で、効率的に脱硫できる脱硫剤による炭化水素油の脱硫方法、さらに該脱硫方法を使用する燃料電池システムを提供することを課題とする。本発明の炭化水素油の脱硫方法は、アルミニウムを含有する金属酸化物及び/又は含水金属酸化物を、200~980°Cの温度で焼成して得られる固体酸を含み、酸化アルミニウムを20~100質量%含有する脱硫剤と、炭化水素油とを接触させて脱硫することを特徴とする。脱硫剤は、硫酸根を含む酸化アルミニウム、特にγ-アルミナが好ましい。また、本発明は、係る炭化水素油の脱硫方法を使用する燃料電池システムである。
