La présente invention concerne un procédé pour effectuer l'appel de communications comprenant la réception du message d'appel provenant d'un terminal utilisateur; la commande de l'établissement d'une association de plan multimédia entre la passerelle multimédia évoluée (EMGW) et le terminal utilisateur selon le message d'appel ; la commande de l'établissement de la porteuse entre le terminal utilisateur et la passerelle de domaine de commutation de paquets, la porteuse effectuant la transmission de données de service de domaine de circuit analogique du terminal utilisateur dans le domaine de commutation de paquets. L'invention concerne également un procédé de libération, un terminal utilisateur, une entité de plan de commande de commutation de paquets, une entité de commande côté réseau et un système de réalisation d'appel de communications. Lors de l'accès du terminal au domaine PS, il peut appeler le domaine CS dans le domaine PS ou le terminal opposé dans le réseau fixe, permettant le réseau évolué UMTS d'être rétroactivement compatible avec le domaine CS courant.
