 レーザービームの出力特性が不安定な状況下においてもデータの記録を確実に行い得る光情報媒体を提供する。  Siを主成分とする第1の材料で形成された第1副記録膜4aと、Cuを主成分としてSnを添加した第2の材料で第1副記録膜4aの近傍に形成された第2副記録膜4bとを有して構成された記録層4が基材2の上に形成されて、記録層4にレーザービームLを照射することによってデータの記録(記録部Mの形成)および再生が可能に構成されている。
