Abstract

A leather cover is broken surely along a break line together with a pad for air bag device when the air bag is developed. Furthermore, feeling and design are excellent at a part where two leathers are bonded. End of a first leather (10) and the end of a second leather (20) are superimposed collectively, and the position close to the end of two sheets of superimposed leather is sewn to form a bonding line (50). The first leather (10) and the second leather (20) are developed sideways from the bonding line (50) as a center. Subsequently, end pieces on the outside of the bonding line (50) are turned down in the opposite directions with the bonding line (50) as a center thus forming a first turndown piece (12) and a second turndown piece (22). The bonding line (50) is aligned with the break line (161) of a pad (160) for the air bag device, and the first turndown piece (12) and the second turndown piece (22) are contained in a containing recess (162) provided on the break line (161).
