Abstract

La présente invention concerne un réacteur à plasma comportant une chambre de réaction et une tête d'orifice d'entrée reliée à la chambre de réaction. La tête d'orifice d'entrée comporte une extrémité ouverte reliée à la chambre de réaction, un orifice d'entrée de plasma située en regard de l'extrémité ouverte, une surface intérieure se rétrécissant depuis l'extrémité ouverte vers l'orifice d'entrée de plasma, et des premier et second orifices d'entrée de gaz situés chacun entre l'orifice d'entrée de plasma et l'extrémité ouverte. Un chalumeau à plasma injecte un flux de plasma dans la chambre de réaction à travers l'orifice d'entrée de plasma, qui est conformé pour entraîner la diffusion du flux de plasma vers l'extérieur en direction des premier et second orifices d'entrée de gaz. Cette conformtion de la tête d'orifice d'entrée et de l'orifice d'entrée de plasma peut permettre le flux de plasma de créer un impact sur les flux de gaz lors de leur sortie depuis les orifices d'entrée de flux de gaz et d'entraîner ainsi la réaction d'une proportion importante d'au moins un constituant des flux de gaz avant le début du mélange des flux de gaz dans la chambre.
