Abstract

 広ダイナミックレンジ又は高PAPRの信号についても高効率な電力増幅が可能なMIMO送信装置。MIMO送信装置(100)において、増幅器(150)は、入力信号を増幅してアンテナ(170)に増幅信号を出力する。増幅器(160)は、入力信号を増幅してアンテナ(180)に増幅信号を出力する。ピーク検出部(130)は、第1送信系列の包絡線を検出し、分岐切り替え部(140)は、第1送信系列の包絡線検出結果としきい値との比較結果に基づいて、第1送信系列のすべてを増幅器(150)に入力するか、又は、第1送信系列の一部を第2送信系列と共に増幅器(160)に入力するかを切り替える。この構成により、増幅器の入力信号のピークを小さくすることができるので、増幅器を効率的に使用することができる。この結果、高PAPRの信号などについても高効率な電力増幅が可能なMIMO送信装置を実現することができる。
