Abstract

Jewellery device - an accessory or decorative article - designed to be set or sewn onto a jewel or object to be decorated, consisting of a crown and a culasse, characterized in that the culasse comprises at least one compartment forming an internal housing suitable for receiving loose or fixed decorations or objects. Alternatively, said culasse comprises at least one compartment provided with orifices. Thus, the device according to the invention may comprise at least two culasses provided, respectively, with tenons and mortises that engage with one another. Advantageously, said culasse may comprise at least one invisible compartment, the walls of which are opaque or translucent.

Description

CYLINDER HEAD

The present invention relates to a device for jewelery, jewelery or gemology or fashion accessory or decorative object.

More particularly, the invention relates to the structure of a diamond or a cut stone suitable for being crimped or sewn on an object to be decorated, such as a jewel, an accessory or a decorative article.

A jewelery stone generally consists of an upper part called crown, whose substantially planar end is called a table, and a lower part, designated breech or flag whose end is the colette. The interface between the crown and the cylinder head is called belt or rounder to facilitate the crimping of the latter on a frame, for example.

Gemstones must meet a number of characteristics, the most important of which concerns the appearance and especially its color and brilliance.

The imitations of natural stones consist in reproducing their appearance without possessing their properties by means of natural and / or artificial synthetic stones.

It is understood by natural synthetic stone that this type of stone is an equivalent of existing natural stones and artificial stone, the fact that it has no natural equivalent and that it is entirely the work of the man.

Another type of imitation consists of doublet stones or triplets, the body is no longer solid but composed of several parts assembled by fastening means. In order to highlight and give the maximum of their brilliance, these types of stones are usually engraved, polished, sawn, cut, cleaved, or faceted, etc.

Two natural or synthetic stone cutting techniques are distinguished: faceted and cabochon cut.

The technique of the faceted cut consists of cutting small flat surfaces, the cabochon forming an oval stone whose lower part is flat and whose upper part is curved and / or faceted.

It is known that the brilliance and transparency of a cut stone come from the reflection and refraction of the light in its breech.

Thus, the cut cabochon stones have a major disadvantage of brilliance, since the light can not be reflected.

Those cut faceted must have a breech that must be faceted to represent at least 60% of the totality of the stone and thus possess a suitable shine.

It can be expected to apply to these stones, a reflector means or a thin layer of metal on the cylinder head. However, this process proves to be expensive and has certain disadvantages, such as metal / stone adhesion. In addition, this process does not fully meet the safety and environmental standards in force.

Also, these types of cut stones can not be personalized at will because of the obligation of transparency, shine and brightness. Prior art is known from US Pat. No. 5,454,234, GB 2,258,601, US Pat. No. 6,324,869, WO 02/082940, GB 2 315 982 and FR 2 839 623, and a decorative jewel device comprising a yoke comprising a housing. in which is or are arranged (s) one or more decorative objects, to increase the visibility and the decorative effect of said elements or decorations placed in the cylinder head.

However, these known prior devices are capable of improvement.

The present invention overcomes the disadvantages of the prior art by allowing to customize his stone. According to certain arrangements, the invention can also meet the requirements of transparency and therefore of reflection and refraction space of the light. More specifically, the device according to the invention allows the integration of one or more symbolic sets, see secrets, without losing the space necessary for the reflection of light.

To this end, the present invention aims to remedy the disadvantages mentioned above and for this purpose consists of a jewelery device, accessory or decoration, intended to be set or sewn on a jewel or object to be decorated, consisting of an upper part or crown and a lower part or cylinder head, characterized in that said cylinder head comprises at least one compartment forming an internal housing and adapted to receive decorations or objects arranged freely or fixed.

Preferably, said cylinder head having a compartment in its upper part and another compartment in its lower part. Alternatively, said cylinder head may comprise at least one compartment provided with orifices. Advantageously the device according to the invention may comprise at least two yokes respectively provided with tenons and mortises cooperating mutually. In addition, the device according to the invention may comprise a yoke having at least one invisible compartment whose walls are opaque or translucent. Preferably, said yoke comprises two transparent plates in its upper and lower parts.

More specifically, said plates are assembled to said yoke and said yoke is assembled to said ring by an adhesive or by means of magnetized means.

The invention will be better understood in light of the following description, relating to illustrative, and in no way exhaustive, examples of the present invention, with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which:

According to their names, stones must meet the characteristics of weight, size, color and purity. The device according to the invention relates to a natural or synthetic gemstone. Figure 1 is an exploded perspective front view of the device according to the invention.

According to this figure, the stone, device according to the invention a top part called crown 1, a lower part designated cylinder head or roof 2. The interface between the crown 1 and the cylinder head 2 is a belt or rounder 3 to facilitate the crimping of the stone on a mount, for example.

The yoke 2 according to the invention comprises at least one compartment 6 and is protected in its upper and lower part by means of transparent plates 7 and 8, for example glass or plastic or any other type of transparent or translucent material.

Said at least one compartment 6 corresponds to a division or subdivision practiced inside the cylinder head 2, such as a closed housing integrated inside the cylinder head 2, in order to contain, separate and protect, or enhance, sets or objects 9 it contains.

More specifically, the transparent plates 7 and 8 protect the two upper and lower parts of the yoke 2, but also close said at least one compartment 6. In other words, said at least one compartment 6 is a kind of chamber internal to the cylinder head 2, in order to contain an object in an isolated manner (protected by a transparent plate), which is not comparable to a cavity, hollow or a cell.

Preferably, the device according to the invention consists of a yoke 2 with at least two compartments 6A and 6B.

Thus, said compartments 6A and 6B make it possible to include or integrate or dispose of the desired decorations 9A and 9B in the lower and / or upper part of said cylinder head 2, while meeting the requirements of reflection and refraction of the light. stone (according to some embodiments).

Advantageously, these decorations 9 may consist of different materials in the same compartment or in each compartment 6, such as, for example, small cut or unmodified stones, powders, glossy flakes, natural organic products such as amber, mother-of-pearl or various fragments or particles of animal or human origin (locks of hair, hair, ashes) or pieces of fabric, parchment, see messages on paper, electronic or computer micro-media such as a microfilm etc.

Sets 9A or 9B are fixedly or freely disposed in said at least one compartment 6A and / or 6B of the yoke 2 which is itself sealed, by methods of a type known per se, to said transparent plates 7 and 8. .

Preferably, an adhesive is placed over the entire peripheral edge of the lower and upper yoke 2 and therefore also that of the plates 7 and 8 and that of the ring 1.

All types of suitable adhesives for this purpose known per se can be employed. For example, photosensitive glue or epoxy type etc. can be considered.

Preferably, an invisible photosensitive adhesive is used in order to render the adhesion of the yoke 2 to its plates 7 and 8 and the assembly of this assembly to the solid and unbreakable ring 1.

The photosensitive adhesive makes it possible to seal the plates 7 and 8 to the yoke 2 as well as the yoke 2 to the ring 1 so as to render the device according to the invention resistant to physical shocks, temperatures and humidity, even perspiration, in time.

Alternatively, the yoke 2, the ring 1 and said plates 7 and 8 may be provided with magnetized means allowing temporary solid nonetheless solid connection of the two parts of the stone according to the invention thus allowing possible modifications of the decorations 9 but also shape and their provision in said at least one compartment 6.

In this mode of temporary joining, it can be provided any other fastening means of known type, such as screws etc. Figures 4, 5 and 6 are partial side views of variants of the device according to the invention.

As illustrated in FIG. 4, orifices 10 or any other type of opening may be provided in said at least one compartment 6 of the yoke 2.

According to this variant, the decoration 9 can be sewn directly on the walls of the compartment 6 of the cylinder head 2.

Indeed, the orifices 10 formed in the walls of the compartment 6 of the yoke 2 allow the passage of a thread and a needle to sew the decor (s) 9 desired (s) directly without the need of a kitten, for example.

Alternatively, the stones (cylinder head and crown) and / or the transparent plates 7 and 8 can be pierced also so that the seam is, on the contrary, visible for reasons of aesthetics.

Then the transparent plates 7 and 8 are sealed to the yoke 2 in a sealed manner, and this assembly is then assembled, in a sealed manner, by sealing or other methods of a type known per se to the translucent crown 1.

FIG. 5 represents another possible variant, according to which the decoration 9 can be subdivided into a plate or plate and be fixed in said at least one compartment 6 of at least one yoke 2.

More specifically, the yoke 2 comprises on the one hand a stud or post 11 and on the other hand a cavity or mortise 12 at its lateral ends. Thus, this type of configuration can crimp the stones, according to the invention, in series.

Then the transparent plates 7 and 8 are sealed to the yokes 2 in a sealed manner, and these sets are then respectively assembled or sealed to their translucent crown 1.

Advantageously, the stone resulting from this embodiment has a greater strength. In addition, according to this variant, the stone obtained does not include any visible metal part.

FIG. 6 represents, more particularly, another embodiment of the device according to the invention.

Indeed, it may be possible to provide at least one invisible or concealed compartment 13.

More specifically, the compartment 13 has opaque or translucent walls allowing the light to pass through without being visible.

Preferably, said at least one hidden compartment 13 may be disposed between two other visible compartments 6A and 6B.

Alternatively, the hidden compartment 13 can be arranged in the lower or upper part of a visible compartment 6. The lower or upper parts of the visible compartment have in this case an opaque or translucent wall or has a bottom. Thus, the device according to the invention may comprise a yoke 2 comprising at least one visible compartment 6 and at least one invisible compartment 13. As an illustration, this second or third hidden compartment 13 may include the same decoration or object or any other desired decor or secret object 9C.

The decor 9C, like the other decorations 9A or 9B may be arranged freely or fixed and consist of at least one material.

Advantageously, the object or decoration 9C disposed in this compartment 13 is thus invisible and inaccessible to third parties who are not aware of it.

In order to close the compartment 13, it is conceivable to position a thin plate 14 transparent, opaque or translucent to keep hidden the decor 9C content.

Then the transparent plates 7 and 8 are sealed to the cylinder head 2 in a sealed manner, and this assembly is then assembled or sealed to the translucent crown 1.

Advantageously, the yoke 2 may comprise at least one compartment 6 and / or at least one invisible compartment 13 whose decorations can be of all kinds, of any shape, in any physical state and arranged according to the wishes. In addition, the decor can be directly sewn on certain compartment 6.

The device according to the invention may also comprise two stones assembled together comprising all the types of compartments described above. Preferably, the crown 1 can be made from at least one natural gemstone transparent to translucent or at least one synthetic or artificial transparent to translucent stone or a mixture thereof.

The cylinder head 2 is made from a metallic material, such as, for example, aluminum, steel, carbon, an alloy or mixture of a type known per se.

Alternatively, according to another configuration, the cylinder head 2 can be made from at least one natural gemstone transparent to translucent or at least one synthetic or artificial stone transparent to translucent.

Alternatively, the cylinder head 2 can be made of different opaque materials.

It can be provided that the yoke 2 is made of reflective mirror material or from at least one powder of shiny material of a type known per se, such as, for example, diamond, metal oxide or a mixture.

Alternatively, the yoke 2 can be made from shiny flakes from at least one material such as nacres, plastics, gelatin or a mixture etc.

The breech 2 with multi-compartments, according to the invention, is flexible and adapts according to the needs and expectations of the designer, the buyer as well as the technical constraints of the object to decorate see the material used. The device according to the invention can be cut in particular pear, princess, trillion, marquise, oval, cushion, emerald, baguette, trapezium, square, briolette etc.

The device according to the invention can be set or sewn directly onto a jewel such as a brooch, watch, frame, pendant, bracelet, ring, earring, drillings or fashion accessories to be decorated or decorative objects without need for support.

The removal of the current yoke by the yoke of the present invention represents a gain of at least 35% of the totality of the stone, in terms of material and space.

According to some embodiments mentioned above, the brightness is produced by the various decorations 9 arranged in the compartment or compartments 6 of the cylinder head 2 have a good shiny and reflective power.

Claims

1.
