Abstract

The invention relates to a transmission (1) for a vehicle, embodied as a twin-clutch transmission, the toothed wheels being combined to form groups of toothed wheels (3, 5) arranged on input shafts (2, 4) and on an output shaft (6). The toothed wheels pertaining to the toothed wheel groups (3, 5) of the input shafts (2, 4) are permanently engaged with the toothed wheels of at least one toothed wheel group (7, 8, 16) of the output shaft (6), and a first input shaft (2) is connected to a drive shaft (11) of a drive motor by means of a first clutch (10), and a second input shaft (4) is connected to a drive shaft (11) of a drive motor by means of a second clutch. The aim of the invention is to enable a compact construction, low production costs, and rapid shifting times. To this end, a first primary gear (13) is arranged between the drive shaft (11) and the first input shaft (2), and a second primary gear (14) is arranged between the drive shaft (11) and the second input shaft (4). Preferably, the first and second primary gears (13, 14) have different gear ratios.
