Abstract

A server system supports a server-based operation including a related application and data processing operation. The server system includes two or more servers, with each of the servers including application processing and data processing portions. Each of the servers are configured to process different application and data processing portions of the application in parallel across each of the plurality of servers such that each of the plurality of servers supports both of the related application and data processing operations. Each of the plurality of servers may be blade servers with each organized as a blade center that may be organized as a Grid computing system. The Grid computing system may be geographically dispersed. The related application and data processing operation may be a telephony operation for creating call data records from a fixed line telephony service, a mobile telephony service and a voice over Internet Protocol telephony service.
