Abstract
This aims to provide a semi-solidified metal molding device for molding a semi-solidified casting alloy or an expanding alloy into a thin product or a product having a slender protrusion. The semi-solidified metal molding device comprises a female mold including a recess (23) composed of a first section for forming the lower portion (24) of a mold cavity, a second section (231) for mounting a semi-solidified metal and a third section (232) for receiving the excess semi-solidified metal, cylinders (21 and 22) opened into the second section (231) and the third section (232), respectively, and pistons (4 and 5) inserted into the cylinders (21 and 22) and biased toward the semi-solidified metal by springs (44 and 54), and a male mold (3) including a protrusion (32) for forming the upper portion (34) of the mold cavity having an upward rod- or plate-shaped cavity (35).
