Abstract

 保護すべき部品の能力に応じて当該部品を熱損傷から保護することのできる電動圧縮機を提供する。  圧縮機構11と、圧縮機構11を駆動する電動モータ12と、電動モータ12の駆動を制御する制御部13とが単一の筐体に組み込まれた電動圧縮機10であり、さらに制御部13及び電動モータ12の一方又は双方を構成する一又は複数の部品の温度を検出する温度検出器14と、部品に流れる電流を検出する電流検出器15とを備え、温度検出器14が検出した温度を温度Tdとし、温度Tdを温度検出器14が検出したときに電流検出器15が検出した電流を電流Idとし、部品固有の電流に関する温度特性における、温度Tdに対応する電流を電流Ia(Td)とすると、制御部13は、Ia(Td)とIdを比較した結果に基づいて電動モータ12の駆動を停止させる。
