Description
Versatile strap bond of connected parts
Field of the Invention
The invention deals with systems where objects are interconnected with the use of systems with straps fixed to these objects while the interconnection is achieved through introduction of another strap, alternately under the straps of one and the other connected object. Such sets are e.g. used for fixation of cases to articles of clothing. Thus, strap bonds of this type generally consist of connected parts fixed to each other with a connection strap.
Background of the Invention
At present, information is available about systems for connection of various objects with the use of interconnection on the basis of textile elements. Such connections are used if at least one of the connected bodies is created as a part of clothing, especially as a part of outer articles of clothing. If a textile accessory, e.g. a textile case or even an accessory made of another material, e.g. a leather case of a sheet-metal or plastic case should be fixed to such an article of clothing, then more types of bond can be used. For instance, it is possible to attach a case or a similar item to the part of clothing with a Velcro fastener. This is a simple bond, but in case of an incidentally acting higher force, especially force acting at the edge of the interconnected surfaces, the bond may get released, which can lead to a loss of the above mentioned attached case or similar item. A snap fastener connection has a similar advantage consisting in simplicity of production and assembly. However, this connection has a principal disadvantage, similarly to the Velcro fastener connection, namely a limited carrying capacity. A connection
of two items consisting in a system of straps with an interconnection, usually also textile element manifests a substantially better carrying capacity. The strength of the connection results from the strength of sewing-on of the straps to the particular connected item and so the strength is usually very high here. The assembly, i.e. interconnection of the items is a little more difficult than in the case of interconnection with the use of Velcro fasteners or snap fasteners, but if the connection does not happen too frequently, the advantage of higher strength and reliability of the established connection prevails. Systems or bonds based on a strap bond are known e.g. from the design of a tactic jacket used by the U.S. Army and described also in the US patent no. 5724707. However, such a bond still has the disadvantage of low versatility. If in this case on the clothing there is a system of e.g. horizontal parallel stripes, the only possibility is to attach the counter-piece in the position in which its system of straps is also horizontal and where the fastening strap is always introduced vertically. However, in practice it is often necessary to fix the case in another position than e.g. vertical, which is virtually impossible with the use of the above mentioned system without changing the direction of fixation of the straps that are firmly attached to the article of clothing. ' • Further, some designs are known where a case or a similar item can be attached in two directions, perpendicular to each other. E.g. a product of the Thales Defense Deutschland, GmbH Company is based on such a design, where the possibility of fixation in two mutually perpendicular directions is achieved through overlapping of two fields of straps created always in such a way that the mutually perpendicular straps on one of the connected parts, namely on a tactic jacket in this case, are overlaid by the other field of parallel straps, oriented perpendicularly. Then, these straps are always attached to the connected part, i.e. the basic material of the tactic jacket by sewing. The sewing attachment is designed in such a way that in all places of strap crossing a through suture is made while the lower strap is directly sewn to the basic material of the tactic jacket and the upper strap in this
place of crossing is sewn to the basic material of the tactic jacket indirectly, through a suture with the lower strap. The suture is further designed in such a way that a row of stitches is created along the square perimeter of the crossing place of these straps and additionally a cross suture is made in this square, namely through the basic material of the tactic jacket and both the layers of the strap material. This way it is possible to attach and fix carried cases and similar items in two mutually perpendicular directions. However, even this design shows the disadvantage of limited possibility of fine selection of the mutual position of the base and attached item as in both the possible attachment directions you can gradually attach the connected item only in steps corresponding to the sum of the width of the straps of the connected part and the spacing between the straps of the connected part, not only in the case of readjustment in the direction along the interconnection straps, but also in the direction perpendicular to them. Finally, another design, described in the CZ U 15505 is known, which achieves, in one of the two directions on the base, the possibility of adjusting the connected item in steps that virtually correspond to the width of the straps attached to the carrying case or attached to the connected item. This always holds good for the direction that is perpendicular to the direction of the interconnection straps. This advantage as compared to the previous designs is achieved in such a way that in the connected part, where two overlapping fields with parallel straps are created, the connection places are fixed with a suture designed as a row of stitches in the perpendicular direction to the longitudinal direction of the strap of the connected parts while the places of fixation of the strap of the connected part are designed as places of suture of the strap of the connected place exclusively and directly with this connected part. This way the places of strap crossing on the base or carrying part of the bond are no longer excluded from the possibility of threading the interconnection strap in one direction alternately under the straps on the base or carrying parts and the straps on the carried, i.e. connected part, e.g. on a case. Thus, in this design the carried item can be
removed on the base body in steps corresponding in the first direction roughly to the width of the carrying straps and in the other direction, generally perpendicular, in steps corresponding approximately to twice the width of the carrying straps. Even here, in this last described known design there is still the disadvantage that it is not possible to adjust the position of the carried item with regard to the base body in both the directions in steps corresponding approximately to the width of the carrying straps although this is possible in the perpendicular direction to the current direction of the interconnection straps.
Summary of the Invention
The above mentioned disadvantage is substantially suppressed and versatility and fineness of positioning of fastened items is ensured with a versatile strap bond system of the connected parts in accordance with the present invention containing at least one field with parallel straps on one connected part, two fields with parallel straps in each field where the straps of one field are not parallel to the straps of the other field and these fields overlap each other at least partly and containing at least one interconnection strap while the straps of one of the fields of the connected parts are always fixed to their connected parts with a mutual distance that is higher than the width of the interconnecting strap where the fixation points are selected in such a ways that between these fixation points small tunnels are created for the interconnection strap while the principle is that on the connected part where two overlapping fields, each with mutually parallel straps, are created the other field is made of straps corresponding to 10 to 50% of the strap width of the first field while the fixation places of the straps of these fields have larger gaps between each other than the width of the interconnection strap. It is advantageous if the fixation places of the straps are designed as sutured connections of these straps with the connected part made as a row
of stitches in the direction that is perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the corresponding strap of the connected part while the places of connection of the strap with the connected part are designed in such a way that the strap is exclusively and directly sewn to the connected part. It is advantageous if one of the connected parts is an article of clothing of the tactic jacket or belt type and at the same time on these connected parts two fields of parallel straps are created that overlap each other on at least 50% of their area and where the direction of straps in the first field is perpendicular to the direction of straps in the other field. It is beneficial if the width of the straps of individual connected parts is mutually equal and is also equal to the width of the interconnection strap. The thickness of the interconnection strap is advantageously equal to 80 to 180% of the thickness of the straps of the connected parts. The interconnection strap is advantageously attached, best sewn with its first end to the connected part represented by the item being fastened to the article of clothing. It is also advantageous if the second, free end of the interconnection strap is attached to the connected item in such a way that it is equipped with the hook part of a Velcro fastener while the corresponding loop part of this Velcro fastener is sewn to the connected part represented by the item being fastened to the article of clothing This way a versatile strap bond is created the advantage of which is simple and firm fastening of various items to articles of closing while at the same time this system is strong and durable and mainly thanks to the modifications in accordance with the submitted technical design the system becomes versatile not only as regards the position and direction of fixation of items to the articles of clothing, even in two directions, but also from the point of view of fineness of selection of the mutual position of the connected item and the base, generally an article of clothing, where to select the position of the mutual interconnection you can move or position the connected items for the subsequent interconnection relatively to each other in steps corresponding to the width of the straps of the connected part or the width of the gap between straps.
Brief Description of the Drawings
The invention design is further described in a more detailed way and explained with the use of a sample embodiment, also with the use of attached drawings, where, in perspective views, Fig. 1 shows the entire structure of two overlapping fields with parallel straps where the mutual position of individual fields is perpendicular, Fig. 2 shows a case with a simple field of two straps with one interconnecting strap in the position at the beginning of fastening, Fig. 3 presents a situation following after the one in Fig. 2, where the case is already attached to the clothing surface, Fig. 4 further shows a case with two interconnecting straps, namely at the beginning of fastening in the direction perpendicular to the connection direction of the first case, Fig. 5 shows a situation with the second case already connected, this time in a section in the transversal longitudinal direction while finally, Fig. 6, now in a perspective view again, shows a situation with the first as well as second case connected in the mutually perpendicular direction.
Description of the Preferred Embodiments
One of the connected items IjO in the present sample embodiment is an article of clothing, namely in the form of a tactic jacket. Items designed as cases 4J> are fastened to the surface of this article of clothing. The treatment for fastening looks as follows. A system of a versatile strap bond, here containing two fields, one field with mutually parallel straps 1 and narrower, mutually parallel straps H perpendicular to them on one connected part 10, i.e. here on an article of clothing in the form of a tactic jacket and one field of mutually parallel straps 2 on the other connected part, represented here by the connected items 4J) designed as the above mentioned cases and
containing one interconnection strap in the case of one case and two interconnection straps in the case of the other case 3. The straps 1,2 of the connected parts 10.4.5 are always fixed to their own part 10.4.5 in places with the distance between the fixation places higher than the width of the interconnecting strap 3 in such a way that between these places tunnels are created for the interconnecting strap 3 in accordance with the presented design. What is important is that at least on one of the connected parts there are at least two fields of parallel straps 1 ,11 where the straps 1.11 of the connected part IQ. are generally arranged in at least two, mutually divergent directions. In comparison to the sample embodiment an advantage would already be achieved in a version where there would be two fields on a tactic jacket or belt that would overlap each other to a small extent only, but each field would have parallel straps running in a different direction than in the case of the other field while generally the directions would not have to be perpendicular to each other. However, what is beneficial is, in accordance in the sample embodiment, if on one of the connected parts 10, represented by an article of clothing designed as tactic jacket here, the two fields of parallel straps 1.11 overlap each other to a substantial, in this case complete, extent, i.e. on 100% of their surface. The width of the straps ;L2 of individual connected parts 10.4.5 is the same and it also corresponds to the width of the interconnecting strap 3. The width of the narrower strap H of one of the connected parts, the tactic jacket in this case, is smaller than the width of the other straps and here the width of only 20% of the strap width of the other field of straps 1 attached to the tactic jacket as well has been selected. The thickness of the interconnecting strap 3js equal to the thickness of the straps 1.11.2 of the connected parts 4.5.10. The fixation points of the straps 1.11.2 of the connected parts 10.4.5 are designed here as the places of sewing W± of the straps 1.11.2 of the connected part 10.4.5 to the particular connected part 10.4.5. The place of sewing 101 has the form of a row of stitches arranged in the perpendicular direction to the longitudinal direction of the strap ±2. of the connected part 10.4.5. In the sample embodiment the suture
101 of the straps 2 of the connected item in the form of a case is designed in a common way, perpendicularly to the longitudinal direction of this strap 2. The suture 101 of the straps 1 of the first field on the tactic jacket, namely with this tactic jacket, is arranged perpendicularly to the longitudinal direction of this strap 1, always in the place under the crossing with the other, narrower strap H. The suture 101 of the strap H of the other field on the tactic jacket with this tactic jacket is arranged perpendicularly to the longitudinal direction of this strap H, always in the place immediately next to the place of crossing with the other, wider strap ±. Thus, not only the straps 2 are directly sewn to the cases, but also the straps 1.11 are directly sewn to the material of the tactic jacket, which allows you to maintain all the passages under these straps free so that they can create the tunnels for the introduction of the interconnecting strap 3. The spacing of these free passages in fact correspond to the sum of the width of the wider strap and the narrower strap, which does not exceed the width of the wider strap much and the positioning on the tactic jacket can be harmonized with the shifts or in steps corresponding to the distance that is only a little higher than the width of the wider straps. This is the principal improvement as compared to the hitherto designs, which only made it possible to achieve adjustment steps on the tactic jacket with the size corresponding approximately to twice the width of the straps. The interconnecting strap 3 is then sewn with its first end to the connected parts 4J3 represented by items connected to the article of clothing, i.e. various cases. Alternatively, it may be advantageous if the interconnecting strap 3 is attached with its first end to the connected part represented by the item connected to the article of clothing, in this case a tactic jacket, i.e. a case or cases. It may also be advantageous of the other, free end of the interconnecting strap 3 is attached to the connected item 4J5 is such a way that it is equipped with the hook part of a Velcro fastener while the corresponding loop part of this Velcro fastener is attached to the connected part represented by the item attached to the article of clothing 4,5.
The designs with the Velcro fastener are not shown here, but they can be created with common means.
The function of the system is as follows. The cases are connected by drawing of the interconnecting strap alternately through the tunnel created under the straps of the connected parts, using the warp-and-weft principle. What is important is that you can select not only the fastening direction of one case in two different directions depending on which field of parallel straps you select for the introduction of the interconnecting strap, but you can also select shifting of the connected item in two directions before its fixation with the interconnecting strap with an increased fineness, namely in steps with the size corresponding to the width of the straps of the connected parts or the width of the gap between the straps of the connected parts, which is in one of these directions virtually a step with half the size as compared to the present state of the art. If the versatile bond in accordance with the present invention is created in such a way that between the connection places tunnels are made for the interconnecting strap and at the same time on the connected part where there are two overlapping fields with horizontal straps the connection place are sewn together with a suture designed as a row of stitches in the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the connected part where at the same time one of the straps has a smaller width, the interconnecting strap can pass in both directions through the tunnels in the gaps between the longitudinal straps as well as through the tunnels in the crossing places of the straps of the connected part in both directions. And this is also the reason why in the present technical design finer adjustment of the position of the attached item on the other of the connected parts can be selected.
Industrial applicability
The technical design may mainly be utilised for treatment of articles of clothing, mainly external articles of clothing of persons that need to wear various pockets, cases, containers, etc. on their clothing. Typical users will be members of security or rescue forces, but also fishermen, craftsmen, etc.
