Abstract
セラミック粒子からなる誘電体層と内部電極を交互に積層した積層体層と、積層体層の少なくとも両端面に設けるとともに内部電極と交互に電気的に接続した一対の外部電極とを有する積層セラミックコンデンサにおいて、誘電体層の単位長さ当たりのセラミック粒子間の界面の数は、一対の外部電極を結ぶ方向より積層方向を多くした構成である。このようにして、内部電極間の誘電体のセラミック粒子の粒界の数を増やすことにより、絶縁特性を向上させることができる。特に、薄層化により厚み方向のセラミック粒子の数が減ったとしても、粒界の数を増やすことにより絶縁特性の低下を抑制することができる。
