Abstract
L'invention concerne de manière générale des fils métalliques, y compris des nanofils tels que des nanofils semi-conducteurs, qui peuvent être un monocristal dans certains cas. Dans un aspect, l'invention concerne de manière générale un fil semi-conducteur relativement long. Le fil semi-conducteur peut présenter une longueur d'au moins environ 10 micromètres, d'au moins environ 100 micromètres, voire d'au moins environ 1 mm. Dans certain cas, le fil semi-conducteur présente un rapport de forme d'au moins environ 50000. Dans certaines formes de réalisation, le fil semi-conducteur présente au maximum un joint de grain par micromètre, et dans certaines formes de réalisation, le fil semi-conducteur est un monocristal. Dans de nombreux exemples, le fil semi-conducteur présente aussi un diamètre sensiblement uniforme. D'autres aspects de l'invention concernent des techniques permettant de former de tels fils semi-conducteurs, p. ex. par dépôt chimique en phase vapeur, ainsi que des dispositifs comprenant de tels fils semi-conducteurs. Par exemple, une forme de réalisation de l'invention concerne un dispositif électronique qui comporte au moins 50 transistors sur un fil nanométrique commun.
