Abstract
La présente invention concerne un procédé de codage d'image qui consiste à diviser un signal d'image d'entrée en plusieurs blocs de pixels, à sélectionner un mode prévu pour chaque bloc de pixels parmi au moins un mode prévu, à produire un signal d'image prévu de chaque bloc de pixels à partir du signal d'image de référence, selon le mode prévu sélectionné, à produire un signal d'erreur de prévision au moyen du bloc de pixels et du signal d'image prévu, à produire un signal converti quantifié par conversion orthogonale et quantification du signal d'erreur de prévision, à référencer un tableau d'informations de fréquence qui contient des informations de mode concernant chacun des modes prévus, à obtenir les informations d'ordre indiquant la position des informations de mode correspondant au mode prévu sélectionné dans le tableau d'informations de fréquence, à coder le signal converti quantifié et les informations d'ordre, puis à placer les informations de mode correspondant au mode prévu sélectionné en tête du tableau d'informations de fréquence, de manière à réorganiser le tableau d'informations de fréquence.
