Abstract

A motor having a rotary sensor, in which a screw for fixing the rotary sensor is not required and the phases of a motor-inducing voltage and a rotary sensor signal can be easily adjusted; and an electric power steering device are provided. A motor (1) comprises a cylindrical stator case (3), a flange (8) to which the stator case (3) is secured, a shaft (5) rotatably disposed in the stator case (3) on a substantially center axis, a rotor (6) secured to the shaft (5), and a stator (4) installed on the inside of the stator case (3). A resolver stator (10) for detecting the rotation of the rotor (6) is secured to the flange (8), and a resolver rotor (7) is secured to the shaft (5). The motor (1) further includes a position-adjusting mechanism for adjusting the positional relation between the flange (8) and the stator case (3).
