  • the presence of maximal registration expiration value may prevent S-CSCF 7 from sending the SIP 423 error message ("Interval Too Brief) which is normally sent if the proposed expiration time is shorter than minimum expiration time accepted by the home network 4 or the S-CSCF 7.
  • the C-CSCF 7 may accept the maximal registration expiration value in the P-Visited- Network-ID header as the registration expiration time according to the policy of the home network even if the value is less than preconfigured minimum expiration time in the home network.
  • the S-CSCF 7 in the home network 4 may proceed using the registration expiration value provided by UE 2.

  • the inserting module 33 may be configured to insert the emergency registration timer value from the policy module 32 into a SIP REGISTER only if the emergency registration timer value obtained by the comparing module 35 from the policy module 32 is less than the registration timer value received from the UE.
  • the invention is not limited to IMS networks, but also other networks supporting emergency sessions and similar proxy functionality in the visited network may use the invention. Therefore, the P- CSCF is only used here as an example of SIP proxy and other proxies may be capable of using embodiments of the present invention..
  • An example embodiment of the present invention may have the advantage that it may allow carrying registration expiration information of the visited network to the home network of the user without a need for P-CSCF of the visited network to change the content of the existing SIP headers in the SIP REGISTER request.

Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé, un serveur mandataire, un serveur de contrôle de service ainsi qu'un système pour l'enregistrement urgent dans un système de communication. Ledit serveur mandataire reçoit une demande d'enregistrement urgent associée à un utilisateur qui navigue dans un réseau visité. Ce serveur mandataire insère une valeur maximale d'expiration d'enregistrement du réseau visité dans un paramètre qui identifie le réseau visité dans la demande d'enregistrement urgent, et envoie la demande d'enregistrement urgent vers un réseau domestique de l'utilisateur.
