Abstract

A moisture-permeable waterproof cloth that exhibits excellent waterproofness and comfort, being useful in various apparels, such as rain wear, mountaineering wear, sports wear and overall. The moisture-permeable waterproof cloth is one of 50 kPa or higher water resistance degree, 8000 g/m2?24hr or greater moisture permeability and 0.2 cc/m2?s or greater air permeability, characterized in that at least one layer of a fiber structure composed of ultrafine fibers of 0.01 to 1 μm average fiber diameter is superimposed on a substratum. Further, the moisture-permeable waterproof cloth may be one of 70 kPa or higher water resistance degree and 10,000 g/m2?24hr or greater moisture permeability, characterized in that at least one layer of a fiber structure composed of ultrafine fibers of 0.01 to 1 μm average fiber diameter is superimposed on a substratum, and that there is provided a protective layer for protecting the fiber structure composed of ultrafine fibers.
