Abstract

A pivoting mechanism in which a movable body pivots from a first position of a body to an intermediate position on the way to the second position of the body against urging force of urging means, pivots from the intermediate position to the second position under the urging force, pivots from the second position to the intermediate position on the way to the first position against the urging force, and pivots from the intermediate position to the first position under the urging force. The pivoting mechanism has damper means for braking the movable body only when it pivots to the second position and to the first position under the urging force.
