Abstract
A boot for a tripod constant velocity universal joint, which can be more easily installed on the joint, in which disengagement of a band is suppressed, and whose disengagement from the joint is suppressed. In the resin boot (29), the thickness of a large-diameter section (29a) at the portion corresponding to the surface (38) in contact with the band is set greater on the opening end side than on the bellows section (29c) side. By this, the outer diameter of the large-diameter section (29a) at the portion corresponding to the surface (38) in contact with the band is gradually increased in the direction of the axis of the boot (29) toward the opening end of the large-diameter section (29a).
