Abstract

L'invention concerne un système de diffusion multimédia qui comprend au moins un serveur, qui comprend une application de contenu pour télécharger un programme et transcoder des contenus multimédias en données multimédia codées qui conviennent pour une diffusion sur Internet ; et une pluralité de dispositifs clients, chacun étant connecté au serveur par l'intermédiaire d'Internet à l'aide d'un protocole Internet pour recevoir une transmission continue de données multimédia lors d'une requête faite à partir de celui-ci ; le serveur détectant les caractéristiques de chaque dispositif client et envoyant les données multimédia demandées avec un débit binaire approprié, une taille de fichier appropriée et un format approprié qui correspondent aux caractéristiques des divers dispositifs clients tels qu'un téléphone mobile, un ordinateur personnel et une télévision.
