Description
Description
UNIT FOR SUPPLING A COSMETIC MATERIAL AND MAKEUP APPARATUS HAVING THE SAME
Technical Field
[1] The present invention relates to a unit for supplying cosmetic material and a makeup apparatus having the same unit for supplying cosmetic material, and, more particularly, to a cosmetic material supply unit that is easy and convenient to use when applying make-up and a make-up apparatus having the same unit. Background Art
[2] Applying make-up is behavior to make human bodies look beautiful by applying cosmetics and giving a smooth to the human bodies. Cosmetics used as make-up include foundation make-up products used for skin treatment and specific make-up products used for eyes, eyebrows, lips or the like.
[3] Specifically, the foundation make-up products include powders, foundations, blushes, and the like. Foundation make-up products are used to give a natural skin color to the entire face and provide a face with a deep and clear appearance. The specific make-up products include eye shadow, mascara, artificial eyelashes, eyeliner, lipstick, and the like. Specific make-up products are used on specific features to create a positive impression.
[4] In recent years, pen-type make-up apparatuses, which contain cosmetic material therein such that separate cosmetic material containing units are not needed, and which are used for direct application of cosmetic material to human bodies, have been widely commercialized. In addition, the exterior designs of the make-up apparatuses have been improved.
[5] Such known pen-type make-up apparatuses include a cosmetic material containing portion for containing a cosmetic material therein, an applicator for applying the cosmetic material to human bodies, a supply unit for supplying the cosmetic material to the applicator and so on.
[6] An edge portion of the applicator may be provided with an application hole embodied as a brush, sponge, or spherical or hemispherical silicon body.
[7] In addition, generally, the supply unit includes a piston machine for pushing the cosmetic material of the cosmetic material containing portion to the applicator using a push button.
[8] However, in the known pen-type make-up apparatuses, the supply unit is structured such that the cosmetic material is only supplied to the applicator when the cosmetic material contained in the pen-type make-up apparatuses is supplied. Accordingly, the p
en-type make-up apparatuses have a problem in that the amount of the cosmetic material to be supplied to the applicator cannot be properly adjusted.
[9] Particularly, in the case of make-up apparatuses such as eyeliners, which are used to draw a thin line using the application hole of the applicator, it is necessary to supply sufficient cosmetic material to the application hole. When the application hole is supplied with the cosmetic material insufficiently or excessively and the cosmetic material masses in a droplet shape, the make-up apparatuses become inconvenient to use. Thus, it is required to supply the cosmetic material more precisely. Disclosure of Invention Technical Problem

Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention [35] Hereinafter, preferred embodiments of the invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. [36] FIGs. 1 to 9 illustrate a cosmetic material supply unit and make-up apparatus having the cosmetic material supply unit according to a first embodiment of the
invention.
[37] As shown in the figures, a make-up apparatus 10 of the invention includes a case 11 having a cosmetic material containing portion 15 for containing a cosmetic material therein, an applicator 20 disposed at one end of the case 11, and a cosmetic material supply unit 30 for supplying the cosmetic material to the applicator 20.
[38] The case 11 has a tube shape, and a hollow portion is provided inside the case. In the hollow portion, the cosmetic material containing portion 15, for containing a powder, cream or liquid type cosmetic material therein, is disposed. The applicator 20 is disposed at the one end of the case 11, and the cosmetic material supply unit 30 is disposed at the other end of the case 11.
[39] The applicator 20 is provided at the one end of the case 11, and the cosmetic material supplied from the cosmetic material containing portion 15 is applied to a portion of a user's human body through the applicator 20.
[40] The applicator 20 includes a holder 21, which is detachably coupled to the one end of the case 11 via a fixing hole 26, and an applying member 22, which is coupled to the holder 21.
[41] The holder 21 is fixedly coupled by the fixing hole 26 after being inserted into an opening of the one end of the case 11. The fixing hole 26 includes one or more concave-convex portions 26a in its inner peripheral surfaces. The concave-convex portions 26a detachably engage with, and are coupled to, one or more concave-convex portions 11a provided in the outer peripheral surface of the one end of the case 11.
[42] The holder 21 is provided with a supplying hole 21a therein. The cosmetic material is supplied through the supplying hole 21a and is then directed to the applying member 22. A supply-guide member 28, made of a fiber bundle, is inserted into the supplying hole 21a to supply the cosmetic material to the applying member 22 by capillary action.
[43] The applying member 22 is coupled to the holder 21, and can be made in various types, such as a brush type or a silicon or sponge type having a discharge hole.
[44] In addition, a cap 27 may detachably engage with, and be coupled to, the outer peripheral surface of the fixing hole 26 at the outer side of the applicator 20.
[45] The cosmetic material supply unit 30 is detachably coupled to the other end of the case 11, and is used to directly push the cosmetic material of the cosmetic material containing portion 15 or push the air between the cosmetic material containing portion 15 and the cosmetic material supply unit 30. Thus, the cosmetic material of the cosmetic material containing portion 15 is supplied to the applicator 20.
[46] The cosmetic material supply unit 30 includes a presser body 31, a rotation body
32, rotated by the movement of the presser body 31, an operation rod 33, driven by the rotation of the rotation body 32, and a piston 34, coupled to the edge portion of the
operation rod 33.
[47] The movement of the presser body 31 is guided by a guide member 13 installed in an opening in the other end of the case 11. The guide member 13 is provided with one or more concave-convex portions 13b in its outer peripheral surface. The concave- convex portions 13b engage with and are coupled to one or more concave-convex portions 1 Ib provided in the inner diameter surface of the other end of the case 11.
[48] Between the presser body 31 and the guide member 13, an air-flow space 17 is formed. When the air, guided into the air- flow space 17 by the up-and-down movement of the presser body 31, has a low density, the presser body 31 may not be smoothly pressed due to the air of the air-flow space 17. Accordingly, a groove for securing air 18 may be further provided at one side of the presser body 31.
[49] One or more cam grooves 31a are formed in the outer peripheral surface of the presser body 31. The cam grooves 31a may be formed in the inclined slot shape shown in FIG. 8.
[50] In addition, as shown in FIG. 9, the cam grooves 31a may be formed in an inclined elliptical shape, or in other various shapes having a predetermined circumferential distance C that can guide the rotation of guide protrusions 32a, which will be described later.
[51] The rotation body 32 is rotatably inserted into the inner diameter surface of the presser body 31. A stopper 36, provided in the upper portion of the presser body 31, supports the rotation body 32 and limits the upward movement of the rotation body 32. The stopper 36 engages with, and is coupled to, the inner diameter surface of the case 11, to thus be fixedly attached thereto.
[52] Elastic members 35 are interposed between the presser body 31 and the rotation body 32, and elastically support the presser body 31.
[53] Further, the rotation body 32 is rotated by the movement of the presser body 31.
The rotation body 32 is provided with one or more guide protrusions 32a, and the guide protrusions 32a are inserted into the cam grooves of the presser body 31 to thus be guided.
[54] Thanks to this structure, when the presser body 31 is pressed in the direction of the arrow A, as shown in FIGs. 4 and 8, the presser body 31 moves as shown in FIG. 5, and the guide protrusions 32a of the rotation body 32 move along the inclined cam grooves 31a of the presser body 31, as shown in FIG. 8. Accordingly, the rotation body 32, the up-and-down movement of which is limited by the stopper 36 and the guide member 13, rotates in the direction of the arrow R.
[55] That is, the cam grooves 3 Ia of the presser body 31 and the guide protrusions 32a of the rotation body 32 are used to convert the linear movement of the presser body 31 into the rotary movement of the rotation body 32.
[56] In this case, when the presser body 31 is pressed with the finger, relative rotation takes place between the presser body 31 and the rotation body 32. Accordingly, frictional force, generated between the finger pressing the presser body 31 and the presser body 31, is preferably set to be greater than the rotation contact force generated between the upper portion of the presser body 31 and the stopper 36, such that the presser body 31 performs only linear movement and the rotation body 32 performs only rotary movement when the presser body 31 is pressed.
[57] As shown in FIGs. 4 to 8, a groove 3 Id may be provided over the cam grooves 31a of the presser body 31, and an inclined surface 31c may be provided inside the groove 3 Id.
[58] Thanks to the groove 3 Id and the inclined surface 31c, the guide protrusions 32a of the rotation body 32 can be easily inserted into the cam grooves 31a of the presser body 31 in the assembling step of inserting the rotation body 32 into the presser body 31.
[59] As shown in FIGs. 7 and 8, the circumferential distance C of each cam groove 31a is set as a first rotation range C, within which the rotation body 32 is rotatable in one direction. That is, the first rotation range C is the range within which the rotation body 32 is rotated in one direction by the operation of pressing the presser body 31. At this time, the operation of rotating the rotation body 32 allows the piston 34 to move forward, thereby pushing the cosmetic material to the applicator 20.
[60] As shown in FIGs. 3 to 6, a rotation control structure 40 for adjusting or limiting the rotation angle and the rotation direction of the rotation body 32 is disposed in a portion in which the rotation body 32 and the guide member 13 are adjacent to each other.
[61] The rotation control structure 40 includes one or more control ribs 41, provided at one end of the rotation body 32, and one or more control protrusions 42, which are provided at the guide member 13 and are connectable to the control ribs 41.
[62] The control ribs 41 are formed integrally with the outer peripheral surface of the rotation body 32. In addition, the control ribs 41 extend in a circumferential direction (clockwise or anticlockwise direction) at the one side thereof, and are elastically held to the rotation body 32.
[63] The control protrusions 42 are provided on the upper edge surface or the inner diameter surface of the guide member 13. In addition, each control protrusion 42 is provided on one side thereof with a rotation guiding surface 42a, which is inclined at a predetermined angle, and on the other side thereof with a limiting surface 42b, which limits the rotation of each control rib 41, which rotates integrally with the rotation body 32.
[64] Alternatively, the above control ribs 41 may be formed on the guide member 13, and the above control protrusions 42 may be formed on the rotation body 32.
[65] Thanks to this structure, the control ribs 41, rotating integrally with the rotation body 32, can continuously rotate in the direction of the arrow R in accordance with the rotation guiding surfaces 42a of the control protrusions 42. However, when the control ribs 41 rotate in a direction opposite the direction of the arrow R, edge portions 41a of the control ribs 41 engage with the limiting surfaces 42b of the control protrusions 42, thus the rotation operation of the control ribs 41 is limited. That is, the rotation control structure 40 allows the rotation body 32 to continuously rotate in one direction (rotation operation in the direction of the arrow R shown in FIG. 3), but partially limits the rotation operation of the rotation body 32 in a reverse direction (rotation operation in a direction of the arrow B shown in FIG. 3). The circumferential distances Cl formed between the control protrusions 42 determine the second rotation range Cl.
[66] The first rotation range C of the rotation body 32 set by the circumferential distances of the cam grooves 31a is set to be larger than the second rotation range Cl set by the control protrusions 42. The circumferential distance C2, which is the result of exclusion of the second rotation range Cl from the first rotation range C, is set as a third rotation range C2, within which the rotation body 32 is rotatable in the reverse direction.
[67] In the case in which the rotation body 32 rotates in the direction of the arrow R, as shown in FIGs. 3 and 8, by an amount equal to the first rotation range C, and then rotates again in the reverse direction, the rotation body 32 can rotate in the reverse direction (in the direction of the arrow B shown in FIGs. 3 and 5) in an amount equal to the third rotation range C2.
[68] With this structure, when the presser body 31 is pressed in the direction of the arrow A, as shown in FIG. 4, the rotation body 32 is rotated in the direction of the arrow R by the first rotation range C, and thus it enters the state shown in FIG. 5. Then, when the presser body 31 is released, as shown in FIG. 5, the presser body 31 is moved in the direction of the arrow D by the elastic members 35, the rotation body 32 is r otated in the direction of the arrow B, shown in FIG. 5, by the third rotation range C2 (that is, the rotation body 32 rotates in the reverse direction), and thus the rotation body
32 enters the state shown in FIG. 6.
[69] When the rotation body 32 rotates in the direction of the arrow B, the operation rod
33 and piston 34, which will be described later, move in the direction of the arrow D. Thus, some of the cosmetic material supplied to the applicator 20 is sucked into the cosmetic material containing portion 15.
[70] Alternatively, the above-mentioned first rotation range C may be set to be identical to the second rotation range Cl. Accordingly, the third rotation range C2, within which the rotation body 32 rotates in the reverse direction, may be omitted, and thus the above-mentioned suction operation for the cosmetic material may be not realized.
[71] In addition, as shown in FIG. 12, the rotation control structure 40 may be disposed in a portion in which the rotation body 32 and the stopper 36 are disposed adjacent to each other. Other remaining structures and operational relationships are the same as those illustrated and described in FIGs. 3 to 6, and thus the description thereof will be omitted.
[72] The operation rod 33 is installed such that it is screwed to the inner diameter surface of the rotation body 32. Consequently, the operation rod 33 linearly moves in an up- and-down direction with the rotation operation of the rotation body 32. That is, the outer peripheral surface of the operation rod 33 is provided with a male screw 33a, and the male screw 33a screws into a female screw 32a formed in the inner diameter surface of the rotation body 32.
[73] The piston 34 engages with, and is coupled to, the one end of the operation rod 33.
By the up-and-down movement of the piston 34, the cosmetic material in the cosmetic material containing portion 15 can be supplied to the applicator 20 or sucked.
[74] The operational relationships of the invention, described above, will be described in detail as follows.
[75] As shown in FIGs. 1 and 4, the cosmetic material supply unit 30 is not operated in an initial state. When the presser body 31 is pressed with a finger in the direction of the arrow A, shown in FIG. 4, the presser body 31 moves as shown in FIG. 5, and the elastic members 35 are compressed by the presser body 31.
[76] As shown in FIGs. 4 and 8, when the presser body 31 moves in the direction of the arrow A, the presser body 31 moves as shown in FIG. 5, and thus, as shown in FIG. 8, the guide protrusions 32a of the rotation body 32, inserted into the cam grooves 31a of the presser body 31, move along the inclined cam grooves 31a and are positioned in the lower ends of the cam grooves 31a. Accordingly, the rotation body 32, the up- and-down movement of which is limited by the stopper 36 and the guide member 13, rotates in the direction of the arrow R, and thus it enters the state shown in FIG. 5.
[77] When the rotation body 32 rotates in the direction of the arrow R, the operation rod
33, screwed to the inner diameter surface of the rotation body 32, and the piston 34 move in the direction of the arrow A shown in FIG. 1, and thus the cosmetic material in the cosmetic material containing portion 15 is supplied to the applicator 20.
[78] Next, when the presser body 31 is released, the presser body 31 moves in the direction of the arrow D due to the elastic force of the elastic members 35, and thus the rotation body 32 is rotated in the direction of the arrow B by an amount equal to the third rotation range C2, as shown in FIG. 5, and moves as shown in FIG. 6. That is, as shown in FIG. 6, the edge portions 41a of the control ribs 41 engage with the rotation limiting surfaces 42b of the control protrusions 42.
[79] With the rotation operation of the rotation body 32 in the direction of the arrow B
shown in FIG. 5, the operation rod 33 and the piston 34 move in the direction of the arrow D a distance corresponding to the rotation operation. Accordingly, part of the cosmetic material supplied to the applicator 20 is sucked into the cosmetic material containing portion 15.
[80] At this time, the rotation operation of the rotation body 32 is limited because the edge portions 41a of the control ribs 41 engage with the rotation limiting surfaces 42b of the control protrusions 42. At the same time, the presser body 31 is rotated and continuously moved in the direction of the arrow D by the elastic members 35, and thus returns to its initial state (state shown in FIGs. 1 and 4).
[81] FIG. 10 is a partial sectional view illustrating the cosmetic material supply unit according to a second embodiment of the invention.
[82] As shown in FIG. 10, the presser body 31 of the cosmetic material supply unit 30 according to the second embodiment is separated into first and second presser bodies 3 Ig and 3 Ih. The first presser body 3 Ig is provided with a plurality of serrate protrusions 31k in the outer peripheral surface thereof, and the rotation of the first presser body 3 Ig is prevented by the serrate protrusions 31k, inserted into a plurality of serrate grooves 13k provided in the inner diameter surface of the guide member 13. Due to the presence of the key grooves, such as the serrate protrusions 31k and the grooves 13k, the first presser body 3 Ig is allowed to move only linearly.
[83] In the inner diameter surface of the edge portion of the first presser body 3 Ig, an engaging protrusion 3 Ii is provided. Thanks to the engaging protrusion 3 Ii, the second presser body 3 Ih is prevented from being detached, and thus the connection of the first and second presser bodies 3 Ig and 3 Ih can be maintained.
[84] The rotation body 32 is rotatably inserted into the inner diameter surface of the second presser body 3 Ih, and the second presser body 3 Ih is provided with the cam grooves 31a, into which the guide protrusions 32a of the rotation body 32 are inserted.
[85] Thanks to this structure, in the present second embodiment, when the first presser body 3 Ig is pressed with the finger, the rotation force of the rotation body 32 is transmitted only to the second presser body 3 Ih, but not to the first presser body 3 Ig. Thus, users do not feel the rotation force.
[86] Other remaining structures and operational relationships are the same as those of the first embodiment, and a detailed description thereof will thus be omitted.
[87] FIG. 11 is a partial sectional view illustrating the cosmetic material supply unit according to a third embodiment of the invention.
[88] As shown in FIG. 11, the presser body 31 of the cosmetic material supply unit 30 according to the third embodiment is separated into the first and second presser bodies 3 Ig and 3 Ih, as in the case of the second embodiment. The first presser body 3 Ig is provided with the plurality of serrate protrusions 31k in the outer peripheral surface
thereof, and the rotation operation of the first presser body 3 Ig is prevented by the serrate protrusions 31k, inserted into the plurality of serrate grooves 13k provided in the inner diameter surface of the guide member 13. Due to the presence of the key grooves such as the serrate protrusions 31k and the grooves 13k, the first presser body 3 Ig is allowed to move only linearly.
[89] Moreover, a friction member 31s, made of a material having frictional force, such as a rubber, is interposed between the first and second presser bodies 3 Ig and 3 Ih. Since the friction member 31s is provided in the space in which the first and second presser bodies 3 Ig and 3 Ih are adjacent to each other, and allows the first and second presser bodies 3 Ig and 3 Ih to be brought into frictional contact with each other, the rotation force to be transmitted from the second presser body 3 Ih to the first presser body 3 Ig can be absorbed by the friction member 31s.
[90] Therefore, in the present third embodiment, due to the presence of the key grooves, such as the serrate protrusions 31k and the grooves 13k, and the friction member 31s, the rotation force can be effectively prevented from being transmitted to the first presser body 3 Ig.
[91] In addition, the first and second presser bodies 31g and 31h, adjacent to the friction member 31s, may be provided with a plurality of pressure protrusions 31m and 3 In, respectively, to increase the frictional contact force between the first and second presser bodies 3 Ig and 3 Ih. Other remaining structures and operational relationships are the same as or similar to those of the above-described embodiments, and thus a detailed description thereof will be omitted.
[92] It should be understood to those skilled in the art that the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiments and that various modifications and changes can be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention. Accordingly, such modifications or changes fall within the scope of the claims of the present invention.
