Abstract

La présente invention concerne un environnement pour développer des applications logicielles à utiliser sur plusieurs plates-formes, dans lequel une application indépendante de la plate-forme est fournie sur plusieurs hôtes spécifiques à la plate-forme. Chaque hôte fournit un environnement d'exécution pour exécuter l'application sur une plate-forme cible correspondante. Un simulateur d'environnement cible utilise les profils pour établir les caractéristiques pour chaque plate-forme cible de sorte que chaque plate-forme cible émule le comportement d'un périphérique informatique particulier, tel que défini par les profils. Le comportement d'une grande quantité de périphériques cibles différents peut donc être émulé pour éviter d'avoir à tester des applications sur des plates-formes réelles de périphériques informatiques.
